Hi Everyone ...

Well I did invite a new neighbours in for a afternoon beer today ........and they have just gone HOME !!!! it was 8pm when her husband realized the football was on , just got through 3 bottles of red wine and 6 cans of beer ....hows that for a quiet afternoon drink !,

I have just put some pasta on as a quickie meal for Pete & I ....although I did offer to put some Pizza's in the oven at 6pm....but the drinks were taken over ...LOL

So here I am rather sloshed .... :-D

Has anyone heard from Rita? I do hope she is ok, it is very worrying knowing she is alone when she is poorly.

A Wee Chuckle for the day

A Scotsman left the snow-filled streets of Inverness for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day.

When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her email address, he did his best to type it in from memory.

Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his email was directed instead to an elderly Ministers wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before.

When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream and fell to the floor in a dead faint.

At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

DEAREST WIFE:

JUST GOT CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL TOMORROW.

P.S. SURE IS HOT HERE.

Linda, Glad you got the wee one fixed out. My wife assists parents that are having problems with their childs sleep pattern. Some are at near breaking point at times.

Sorry to read that Pauline's back is still too bad to let her come on the computer, hope it eases soon.

I am getting on Ok. Just pottering along. Went to daughters for a couple of days. Changing the baby into a routine of up into his cot after his supper and settling him, helped so far. Just waking for a feed not up and awake most of the night. So that helps.

MARILYN was waiting in the checkout line at a shopping centre.

Her arms were laden with a mop and broom and other cleaning supplies.

By her hard glances and deep sighs, it was obvious she was in hurry and not a happy camper about the slowness of the line.

When the cashier called for a price check on a box of soap, Marilyn remarked indignantly, "Well, I'll be lucky to get out of here and home before Christmas!"

"Don't worry, ma'am," replied the clerk.

"With a good tail wind and that brand new broom you have there, you'll be home in no time."

Rita, I am so sorry to hear your news about hospital, I do hope you are ok now, are you going to be ok on your own. please keep in touch with your family and us on here. Hope your Grand daughter makes good progress and is soon feeling better.

Hi

I was rushed into hospital early hours this morning bleeding badly I had tests done and examinations they contacted my cancer consultant, they said they think it is my kidney. I am on chemo as you know. They sent me home five hours afterwards. phoned my son and told him. he collected me. I have an infection as well. so have antibiotics. if I am still like this in two days I have to contact my GP. my consultant phoned me and had a long chat. told me not to worry the chemo tablets can do this I have to see him next tuesday.

what a day. My Granddaughter had her big operation. she is out of the theatre and in intensive care but doing well.

Maddie ...I do think about you often going to work, I loved my job and missed it when I retired,but I do love being retired ,its the not having to wake up early in the mornings I don't miss.
Have a great weekend and enjoy shopping up west ....wish I could be there with you I soooooo miss London shops, could do with a new pair of beige linens but its the wrong season for them. :-S

Hello Shelly....I passed the Olympic Stadium on my way back from Norwich via Paddington and what a super stadium saw all the buildings and the flats they built etc etc,,,,,,I was looking for your house ,I wanted to wave to you ..LOL

Got the tube and boy did I suffer it was so hot and stuffy that I nearly pasted out !! not changed in 40 years ... no air con on the trains Tut Tut health & safety should be investigating
Don't miss that one bit ,We should have got a taxi but it was bank holiday weekend and thought the tube would have been faster, it wasn't

Awh Shelly I missed little legs birthday .....give him a big smacker of a kiss from me <3

A Wee Chuckle for the day,

There was this little guy sitting in a bar, drinking his beer, minding his own business when all of a sudden this great big dude comes in and -- WHACK!! -- knocks him off the bar stool and onto the floor.

The big dude says,

"That was a karate chop from Korea."

The little guy thinks "GEEZ," but he gets back up on the stool and starts drinking again when all of a sudden -- WHACK!! -- the big dude knocks him down AGAIN and says,........

"That was a judo chop from Japan."

So the little guy has had enough of this... He gets up, brushes himself off and quietly leaves. The little guy is gone for an hour or so

,When he returned , without saying a word, he walks up behind the big dude and -- WHAM!!!" -- knocks the big dude off his stool, knocking him out cold!!!

The little guy looks at the bartender and says, "When he gets up, tell him.............

''That was a crowbar from B&Q''..
