A Wee Chuckle for the day
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though a whale is a very large mammal, its throat is very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
The teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human, it was impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to Heaven I will ask Jonah".
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to Hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him!"

Morning All !
Blowing rather hard here, thankfully NO rain . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Well, I have sprayed a large volume of Lynx all over my manly body, surely that'll attract all the women to this Thread. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) If it dosen't then I'm off to get a facelift to see if that'll help.
Methinks everyone is not so much flooded out as more like washed away from their computers. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
Rita and Jean..... <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Hope things are improving for you both.
Have a good day ya all !

Weather back to normal here........rain , wind, dark clouds. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
At least it stayed good yesterday to allow me to woodtreat my fence and cut all the grass. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Nice to see a few more postings on the Friendly Thread, we were getting a bit thin on the ground. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Maddie, A full bodied Italian, how can you relax with that ??????????
Cath, More flooding. You need to dig a drainage ditch round the house. Or jack the house up on stilts. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Glad you feel a bit better. Do the dogs bark back at you when you cough ?
Marllyn, I thought Pete would be the one that gets Earache !!!!!!!!!!!!
Linda. You must enjoy knitting. I had a Guernsey Fishermans jumper a long time ago. It was lovely. Ordered it while on holiday one year and it took 4 months to arrive. My initials were woven into the pattern. Seemingly this was tradition so that if a fisherman was drowned at sea and his body washed up on shore he could be identified. The pattern would even tell folk what village he came from.
Rita and Jean, Take care <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
To all the other Friendly Folk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A wee wave. ( As opposed to a Sunami )
Have a good day ya all !

Luckily my friend Jill came me a lift home, so not too wet.
Really dark and gloomy, and it is set for the next few days too.
Relaxing with a Full Bodied Italian!!!!! ;-)
Keep quiet about that one.

Morning all Damp and miserable here in the south, same as Marilyn. So glad we decided against going to a ploughing match. We would be up to our necks in mud by now. Shame as so many events have been ruined by the weather this year.
Instead I have been sorting out some wardrobes and boxes of goodness knows what. So much put away and with my cousin coming I need some space for her things !!! Nearly put "her" and you might think I was going to put her in a wardrobe LOL
I have finished another jumper for S. He won't be cold this winter. A local shop is closing and has quality wool on sale for £1 a ball............... so hubby treated me to about 24 balls, various , so I have been looking through my patterns and founs some lovely classic ones. Remember matinee coats in fine 3ply wool ? Well I have at least 2 lots I can make for future babies, need to be girls really as they are a bit frilly for the boys and one batch of wool is pink too. 5 balls for £5 and I paid £17:50 for the same wool in white for the shawl I made !!!
Oh well I'd best crack on. Hope you are Ok Rita and Jean too <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
How is your finger Marilyn and are you driving yet?
Have a good day everyone

Morning All
As you can see I was missing for a couple of days......I had visitors non stop, friends can down from London unexpectedly.....well a nice surprise really, so we all went out in the countryside to make the most of the weather,
Today its back to winter.......blowing a gale and raining.....in fact I have the heating on !!! :-
Cath ...Ear ache is what I have suffered all my life, I have had 13 ear operation's on both my ears.......its a very sympathetic cause I have for you.....just keep taking Antibiotics in drops or orally, I very rarely have them now my ear canals has been widened . Cath do you need any help on your tree ????? not the Irish I hope ...LOL
Rita....I hope you are eating enough food as you always looked after your self before you got taken ill .....I think maybe you should get some firm to deliver dinners to you now, My Dad has Wiltshire Foods and they are reasonable prices and very good value.
I'm helping my friend trace her family , and came to complete halt .....I have now discovered with a stroke of luck that the name (Williams) is not the family name as there was never a marriage between mother & father..... difficulty was the children was born after a census .the mother was a known Williams ..... in the next census she is with Mr Williams but had her children registered as Lewis .. the children were 4&7yrs they all lived as Williams .........so a sigh of relief I only found that out by a Baptism of the children they were both bapt at the same time when they the eldest one was 9yrs had a double barrel name of LEWIS WILLIAM .!! At which was dropped back to plain Williams thereafter :-S
Hope you all have a good day.........:-D

A Wee Chuckle for the day
A couple, desperate to conceive a child, went to their priest and asked him to pray for them.
"I'm going on a sabbatical to Rome," he replied, "and while I'm there, I'll light a candle for you."
When the priest returned three years later, he went to the couple's house and found the wife pregnant, busily attending to two sets of twins.
Elated, the priest asked her where her husband was so that he could congratulate him.
"He's gone to Rome, to blow that candle out" came the reply.

Morning Folks,
Looks like the makings of another fine day here :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
My dear Lady Stephen and I finally decided on a cycle run along one of the canals in the heart of Scotland. The Union Canal, runs from Edinburgh to Falkirk. So off we set from Falkirk and headed for Lilithgow. A great trip. The total miles for the return journey is 18. A great day out. :-D :-D :-D :-D Needless to say we found a grand wee coffee shop.
Cath, Hope you are feeling a lot better now. Ear infections can really pull you down. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( Just keep dropping in here and we'll cheer you up.
Rita......Hope today is a bit better for you. Dont try too much on your own.
Today I hope to treat one of my fences with a timbercare stain. I've been waitng ages for a couple of dry days and I want it done before winter. Fingers crossed.
Have a good day ya all !
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning It is bright and Sunny but very cold. I have a sweater on and needed a sleeveless jumper as well and footie socks I must look cute.
I am not going to try and do things I have doubts about. I got a telling off from my daughter. I will accept now things I have said no to in the past certian places like the cancer hospital. and McMillian Nurses. and council. I will accept.
The nights are drawing in. last night there was a mist about which I suppose meant the weather was going to be cold and it was.
I must see to my pills and eyedrops. next.
have a good day.
bless you all.
