Hello to all our friendlies, hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend, :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Yvonne I hope your wrist is less painful now, don't use it too much until it is mended properly. I bet Ami is missing you. <3
We had a very busy weekend, can never understand why people think 'oh, it's bank holiday we will go riding' sometimes they have never even sat on a horse but book a ride and expect to go out on their own for an hour, then wonder why they don't really know what they are doing, and sometimes fall off. :-( :-(
Oh well, time to go and settle the horses down for the night.
Take care and stay safe. xxxx
BC hope you are ok love <3 <3

Hi everyone
Jean Sorry to hear about you losing your mare, hope you find a new mum soon
Huia glad you are managing, I can't drive and my OH has been washing my hair. I bought a waterproof sleeve from the chemist so that I can have a shower or bath. OH and son have been looking after Ami, mucking out etc and friends at the yard have been putting her in the field in the mornings.

HAPPY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND everyone, as usual it is going to be a wet one, ugh!!
Huia I do hope your hand is healing and isn't too painful. <3
Mo I hope you had a great holiday and the weather was kind to you. <3
Had a new foal born last night, unfortunately we lost her Mum this morning so it is 2 hourly bottle feeds until a foster mare can be located.
Yvonne I hope your wrist is healing, sorry you are feeling bored, go sit and talk to Ami, sure she would love the company.
BC <3 keep your chin up love, hope you are ok.
Take care and stay safe everyone and enjoy the weekend as much as you can xx :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

It was only the one finger which was cut rather deeply, took a slice off the bone and 40% of the tendon. I am not sure if the tendon will regrow. It is actually far from painful, just an occasional ache, unless I hit it on the light stalk on the steering wheel when driving, and then I say ouch, but it is not really that bad.
Yes, I had a plastic bag put on when I had a shower, but am just making do with a stand-up wash at the basin, of the armpits etc, and get my hair washed in town. I decided I couldn't do the wiping of my backside with my left hand so I put a plastic bag on my right hand. It is still not easy but if I feel I have not done it properly I will sit in a plastic bowl of warm water and wiggle my backside. :-D I hope I don't get RRd for talking dirty. :-0

Oh poor you Yvonne. Nothing more boring than being bored!
And poor Huia. That could have been nasty. Wishing you well.
When I broke my arm as a kid, I had my arm wrapped in a plastic bag so that I could sit in the bath. No showers then!
My OH also broke his arm as a kid, he went over the handlebars of his bike.
Hoping every else is well. Are you all missing the showers?
The rain was so heavy this afternoon, we could not see to the other side of the road.
Scary!

Hi everyone
Hope you are all well,
Maddie I've had a new cast put on, this one doesn't itch like the first one!
I'm soooo bored!!!!
Huia has hurt herself, she nearly chopped off her fingers on her right hand and has been all bandaged up, she sent me a message on FB which made me laugh, she asked how do I manage to wipe me bum lol, That was the first thing I said to my OH after i had my cast put on, ha ha

Thank you for the cuppa Shelley, but I think I may want something stronger!
A very naice supermarket is selling cut price Pimms, so I bought a bottle this morning. It is years since I drunk this, hope I still like it!
I hope you have plenty of co-ordinating outfits Yvonne, you dont want to clash with your new cast.
I broke my arm when I was eleven, in the middle of Summer, boy did it itch! I used to get one of my Mum's knitting needles, and shove it down the side of the cast to scratch myself.
Not recommended I might add.
No more rants, I promise. I am trying to be calm and collected now. Not easy for someone who is a born worrier!
Have a good weekend all.

Oooh Maddie fancy calling K a bleeder, poor little sausage, you could have chosen a better turn of phrase....like a pain in the bum, but then he aint got piles has he, so you could be right in your terminology. lol The way they did K's operation, sounds fine, but Flo is pooing herself, bless her. She saw the man who had had the same operation done as she is about to undergo, ten years ago. She couldn't believe he had three prothesasis (sp) and one actually had hair up it, she laughed and said she didn't want one like that, she reckons she gets enough hairs on her chin, let alone having them coming out of her nose as well. Oooh it's been another lovely day again, please lord let it stay that way, so we can enjoy ourselves whilst away, without having to wear wellies and use umbrella's all the time.
Take care one and all. Mo

Yes quite right ladies, onwards and upwards.
K. went to the leading teaching hospital in London, and had some new type of surgery, whereby they use like a mandolin and take slithers of skin and take them straight to the microscope, then if it is clear, they stitch you up. If not, they take a bit more! They said his bloodflow was very good. I just call him a Bleeder!
Hope everyone is well. Love to Jeni and BC.
Nuff, said. No more moaning!

Oh my goodness Jeni, you have been a busy bee. By the way, my windows need cleaning inside again.....what time shall I expect you lol Oooh that naughty horse, nibbling away at your baskets like that, you feed them loads, and he is just a greedy boy.
Maddie, no wonder you were at sixes and sevens last year, with the worry of K,and your friends to worry about. K was very brave, and it sounds like he was more concerned about the other ladies waiting to be seen. Did he have to go to East Grinstead for his operation? Florence can't have anymore radiotherapy, and it's to far gone for chemo, so the operation is the last ditch effort for her. Don't feel ashamed at unburdening yourself on here, thats what we cyber friends are for.
Only a few days left before we go away, I do hope the good weather they have forecast, comes about. Not packed yet, but the spare bedroom looks like a jumble sale, with clothes everywhere. lol
Bye for now, take care, Mo

Morning all friendlies, hope you have sunshine today.
Sallie I do hope your daughter is feeling a little better now, must be worrying for you at the moment .
BC, take care love and take things easy if you can <3 <3
Got lots of work done at the stables over the weekend, cleaned all the windows, horses can now see out lol. Planted up some hanging baskets to hang outside the stables just to make the place look nice, caught one of the horses eating the flowers out of the one outside her door, needless to say she is the one always up to mischief. She doesn't have a basket now lol
Shelly the dolls house looks beautiful, you are certainly a clever lady.
Take care and stay safe everyone, enjoy your day xxxx.

Yvonne, that you for your get well wishes for Jennie. Although, the Consultant she is under thinks that that she has a narrowing of a small part of the colon now and might have to have an operation to remove that part. Depending on how bad it is, she might have to have a bag, but hopefully it will be reversible., so we now have to wait and see. Hope that your wrist is less painful now, and that you are managing to do some small things at least.
Oh Mo, I am so very sorry to hear about Flo, I hope and pray that they will be able to do something for her. Please give her my very best wishes, and tell her that I am thinking about her.
Shelley, hope that you and your family are all okay.
Jeni, also hope that you and your family are all alright.
Maddie, good news about your friend, as Mo said, onwards and upwards now.
Well must go, will chat again soon.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Evening everyone.
Sorry about the rant, I am ashamed of myself for burdening you all with it.
Mo, I can sympathise with your friend and her skin cancer. K. had to go under the knife late last year to have some of his nose cut out. He looked as if her had gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Luckily we both looked after his nose really well, changing dressings and keeping it clean etc. and the scar is now healing really well. He said at the time he did not care for himself, but there were a few ladies in there, and they were all in tears waiting to be seen.
I see I had hiccups last time I posted, this has been rectified.
Pickled onions I think!
