Morning Rita
Missed Heir Hunters, as I was in Sainsbury. We took our youngest to Woodley for a St Johns First Aid course, he car isn't running at present.

Still got the ironing to do, hubby is off to car auctions now. He just enjoys looking and seeing what is around. Hopefully not buying.................. LOL he has no cash with him I hope.

Must do some more cross stitch as time is flying now , only 10 months till her wedding and about 5 months til we send the full invites out. Most know the date but will probably forget as it's next years calendar.

Have a happy day everyone despite the wet weather, oh Pauline had the opposte earlier !!!

Linda :o) XxX

PS sorry Rita thanks for the reminder about WDYTYA .I watched last weeks repeat last night. Quite a good one

PPS Marilyn good morning we must have both been typing at the same time

Hi ,

Just making up for yesterdays burnt dinner and thought I'd do a cottage pie instead of a roast as that's going to take me away from my curtain job !!

So Cottage pie is in the oven doing nicely ....hubby got a smile on his face as its his favorite.

The smile will be gone soon as I'm going to have to tell him to move all his nick knacks from the table in order to get my sewing machine on there !! in 15mins time ..LOL

Marilyn I cannot beleive how lucky my sister and I was having our holiday early June. as I said we had one wet afternoon on the saturday and I had intended staying in the hotel then anyway.
My photos came out a real treat. I got all the ones of the harbours Brixton, Darmouth, Torbay and the lovely little donkeys in Paighton came out well too

I watched the people on the news in Devon and Cornwall in all that water poor things. the weather forcaster said sorry they got it wrong

Hope it's not coming my way Shelly, I'll have to have a look at it.

Not too sure about the drapes Marilyn, they didn't come out the way I expected. I'll just keep looking at them for a few days before I decide if I like them. Did you manage to cook the cottage pie without burning it?

Sue said she was going to be busy, she has staff off on holiday.
Am I the only one who listens??

Lady can't be on holiday, she said she wasn't going anywhere.

Marilyn, I'll bet you have a great time and a good laugh tomorrow.

Not sure what's wrong with the curtains/drapes Shelly, just something not right.

Is that a Navy man in the background? The uniform looks like my dad's.

Marilyn

when was your husband in the merchant Navy ? I went out for two years with a guy in the merchant Navy he worked for Curnard Line and use to go to Rio de junio and also to Dunnedin I use to follow his ship in the newspaper so I knew where and when he docked I knew then where to send his mail.
I nearly married him then I met my husband who was in the army.but Ken and I still spoke to each other .

sadly he died in 1990's
His friend Arthur Taylor use to take me out when Ken was away he was in the Merchant navy also but he jumped ship I think they called it while docked in Dunedin he sent me a card with the Cunard on it and told me what he had done and sent a photo of him with it.
I tried a few years ago to see if I could find him in New Zealand but no luck I often wonder what happened to him after that.

He joined in 1960 when he was 16yrs old.

I used to buy the Lolyd's newspaper to find out where he docked
But when he was 24yrs he decided to leave as he couldn't trust me to stay faithful while he was away !! LOL its true honest ..

Linda, you call spring cleaning a bedroom a lazy day?? What are you on?? I want some!!

LOL Marilyn, I believe you, poor man must have been worried sick every time he left you alone.

My dad was in the Royal Navy.
