Marily, I wonder what kind of headstone they would have given that man if he was run over by a bus.

Sue I was wondering if they would have put a big bus on his grave with him underneath, if he'd been run over. If the cemetery allowed that ladder, they might allow anything. I don't think it'll catch on though.

LOL nobody got run over by a bus Rita. Marilyn saw a headstone that was a ladder with a bronze man hanging upside down on it. When she asked what it was all about she was told that the man in the grave died by falling off a ladder, that was why they did his headstone like that.

I just said it was a good job he didn't die by being run over by a bus.

Sue, I don't know where it is, Marilyn will tell you.

Pauline thanks I could not understand what had happened. I always get things mixed up.

Marilyn the Cherry Tree cemetery in Uxbridge has a children section and the little graves have toys on them some belong to the children themselves other have been brought and placed on the graves some grave have flags of the country the child was born France, America that sort of thing.
On saturday when my daughter visited Oscar my Gt Grandson her Grandson she said the canadian geese were on the little pond nearby and she has never seen so many There is an Cherry tree overhanding there and parents and friends place chimes on the branches for the children. it is a sad place yet a happy one as you feel it is just that a place only for the children.

Rita there are lots of children's graves up here with toys and windmills on, it's sad to see them.

I suppose I'd better go and make some dinner now, doesn't look like anyone else is going to do it for me.

Hi Folks
Had a great day at the Netley Marsh steam rally. Sue we stood and talked to two men who were there with their shires. Really interesting too. Saw them showing later in the day. Surprised at how much steam was there too................... quite a small show really. Lots of walking. Little eats and only coffee to drink. Mainly dry. Showered a little. Long drive home the M3 was too busy so came home through Alton and Farnham.

Have just ordered 2 more marriage certs lets hope they are the right ones. Been looking for my Great Grandfather for ages and it just jumped out this morning.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone

Linda :o) XxX (Still jumping Rita)
