Dry here so far. Hope it stays so, then the youngsters can get their tent packed up reasonably dry. There must be loads of them at Santa Pod. So long as it's dry there too. It is up north from here you know !!!!

You see Shelly, you weren't listening again, Sue said she wasn't going to be on the thread because she was going to Daventry with a relly.

It's stopped raining, my God - the sun's come out!! Wonder how long it'll last.

The borders in my garden are under water, never seen anything like it before.

So glad the rain has finally stopped for you..................... where abouts are you? Not Durham by any chance? Saw on the news how bad it was there. Flooding and many people going to look and blocking other roads that weren't already closed.

Been to Windsor already and walked the long walk, dropped some books off at my brothers. On the way home we drove though a heavy cloudburst but seems OK now. Had dinner early so hubby can relax before going to work about 1:30.

Not sure what I will do this afternoon. See how it pans out.

Linda I'm a bit further east from Durham, but we have the same river and it's burst it's banks about 10 minutes away from me. Everything's under water in that area. We live on high ground but a mile down the road it's flooded, some roads are impassable - drains couldn't cope.

I'm going to push my luck and put washing out on the line. That'll probably be enough to start it off again.
