Not sure if it's traditon but I expect it happens quite often. Is this jewellery nice or someting you will put away for many years to come? It's not a string of pearls or some diamond brooch is it??

Hi and good evening I'm sure we could share the BBQ, especially if I think of you al when I am standing in the rain with my sausage in a soggy roll !! No really I hope it stays dry for a while tomorrow as the family will all be togetherfrom my father in law aged 85 to our youngest daughter of 24.
Your choice of costumes sounds so colourful Shelly just like a rainbow. I shall toast you all while there.
Sorry I haven't heard of the jewellry tradition, but I can imagine it might be a time to pass on any heirlooms to those chosen specially.
Don't work too hard Whippet Lady. I understand weekend working too well.
Have finished another jumper for the children in Bulgaria, and a couple of fluffy scarves, that I had knitted but not finished off. The box to go in the autumn is getting bigger.
Have a good weekend one and all
Where is Rita...................... hope she is OK?

Oh Shelly You must feel sad but glad to have the rings. I think she wanted to pass it on while she could see you. Not just leave it to you when she wouldn't know if you actually got them. Does she have daughters of her own? If not it's her way of keeping them in the family.
Enjoy them and then you can pass them down yourselves with this story.

Morning all Well still damp here this morning but I think the sun is making an effort. Please pray for it to be dry this afternoon in Berkshire, just so we can at least cook outside for my daughters birthday BBQ.
There you go Shelly, your relation knows that her rings are with the people that she wants.
Well off shopping this morning............. fresh fruit and veg from our local market then possibly looking at weddding dresses with my youngest daughter.
Have a nice day everyone, just incase I don't get back on.
Can anyone contact Rita? I have her e-mail but nothing else.
Linda :o)

Hi everybody.
Shelly, that’s a lovely story about the rings; you and your daughter must feel honoured. Your hubby has sisters who she could have given the rings to but she picked you two instead.
Lady, you’re going to have to keep on top of your threads once you get them down to a few pages. You needn’t worry about the dogs when we go on holiday; we’ll all take one each when we go for walks.
Linda, we've got lovely sunshine here, I’ll send some of it down for you. Mind you it rained all night, but it's beautiful now. My nephew is coming up from Berkshire this morning; he’ll be surprised to see we have better weather than him.
Marilyn are you keeping that wedding dress to see if you can get into it again one day?
Sue, have your friends gone home now? I’m getting company later today.
Come on Rita, we’re starting to get worried about you.
Where’s Shimms today?

The 2 eldest woofers(14.5 years) are too fragile to take walkies(although they act like pups when they want to!!) If I knew I wouldn't meet any other dogs I would take a max of 3 but they have been gone for by other dogs in the past & are very vocal, so I would only take 2 on my own and then it has to be the right 2!!!
Am I right my tracky is red, if so that's fine I like red because fist prizes at shows are red :)

Thanks Marilyn for the PM I had to go to the hospital yesterday for a Mamagrame and it was at Ashford. I have to do my injections three times a week for my cancer and last night I did it but when I do I am always so tioed the day afterwards.
I have the Guildford hospital on Tuesday and the 27th I have to go back to Ashford for a scan so I am not too good at the moment. I need to recover all these appointments and worry does not help. I have to make and appointmet for my eye at the hospital. and for the docotors for a medical review and then I have to make an appointment for my Warfarin blood test. so you can see I am right fed up with it all at the moment.
hope you all have a nice weekend.
Yawn Rita
