iv got a wedding albon 1955 so got some old photos of hubby granperant side will put some of them on my tree
i did ask hubby very old auntie if she had photo of her granperants but she did not

O and if i have got very posh family in my tree im going to shult it from the roof top lol if not ill have to hiyed under a stone with shame face lol

hello every one iv got a limella here family members want to no by law what go on head stone

so if M.I.LAW was devolce some years ago and did not go back to her madam name but did go to a serliater and change her name to say blogs
then by law what has to be put on the head stone ?

god i can see some going on with this as some family members say it should be her married name and some dont care

im going to keep me big gob shut lol

her name change was not done by depoll only by serliceter

Shelly, I think you can put anything you want on the stone.
People usually put a woman’s maiden name and her married name on.
My mother’s stone has her married name at the top
and her maiden name underneath it in brackets.

It's a bit complicated with your MIL though.
Don’t know if you can use her married name if she got divorced
and then had it changed.

I wouldn’t want the surname of my first husband on my stone.

The undertaker will tell you the right thing to do I think.

we got a family meeting tonite to distust every think
her girls could not find her birth cert in her flat thay are not share of her madam name ha ha guss who has a copy (yes me lol)
will have to make share i get a copy of death cert or it will cost me £7
and will have to have a rummig though her photos see what i can find.

I am now on my own, for a little while as I have got grand kids today. !!!

I took my sister back home last night, hubby got here a phone that she can use in the house mobile, now she got one in her bedroom kitchen hall & lounge.
She is going to see the doctors today (keeps going dizzy). so can phone anywhere in the house if she gets more attacks !!

Now whats all this about Shelly going all posh on us..LOL ?

Also,.... Shelly my dad changed his name to his stepdads name to a solicitor called a (Statutory Declaration) and he will be buried in that name, even though he was born with another name.

Loved to have been a fly on the wall when you had that family meeting .

I didn't know you could have a headstone at the crem, at ours you can only have a little plaque stuck in the ground or on a tree.

The name he was born with was his mothers maiden name,
He was illegitimate.

When he was 3yrs old his mother married a (Johnson) and he became known as that through all his life .by the declaration naming him (Johnson) by the solicitor pinned to his birth cert , saying he wishes to be known as (Johnson).not( Bunker) as that was his birth name.
