Silly Sausage Report 27 Dec 2008 13:17

this reminds me of a story I heard..

A man took his wife who was in labour to the hospital. There midwife explained that there was a professor on the ward looking for volunteers as he had invented the perfect pain control for women in labour would they be interested they both said they would.

The professor arrived and attached a gadget to the mother and a connecting one to her husband and explained that he can transfer the pain from the mother to the father. He turned the control so the father took 10% of the pain… the husband said no problem this easy give me more, the mother agreed it was helping to the professor turned it to 20% the same thing happened again this went on till the professor was at 90%..he began to look worried and said this has never happened before normal no man can ever take 50% of the pain… the baby was born the husband cooed over the new baby girl for a couple hours and left for home…..when he arrived home he found the milkman slumped on the door step…..tee heee

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
