Hi Pam, I haven't seen that one - think Jane Horrocks is fantastic though, she always made me laugh in Absolutely Fabulous as Bubble! |

"little Voice" with the wonderful Jane Horrocks singing! As usual Brenda Blethan was exellent and the bit near the end where Michael Caine does his nut singing is so funny! |

No I've never seen it Ed, but it has been shown on telly and next time I'll have to watch it. I know what you mean it's strange seeing actors in roles that are so unlike their norm isn't it. |

Yes I do remember "On The Up", I also remember Ray Winstone playing Will Scarlett in the 1980s series Robin of Sherwood with Michael Praed. |

Quadrophenia, yes I've seen it a couple of times...funny old ending where he goes over the cliffs at Beachy Head as I remember. He's a good actor Phil Daniels as is Ray Winstone. |

Might not be everyones cup of tea but I like it, "Triple Echo" with Glenda Jackson and Oliver Reed. It's about a farmers wife who's husband is away in a P.O.W. camp during WW2. This young army chap deserts and ends up being her lover. To keep him out of going back to the barracks they end up hatching a plan where by he dresses as a woman and pretends to be her 'sister'. He gets a bit to over confident in his disguise and when an army seargant (Oliver Reed) asks them to go to the local dance he accepts thinking it will be a laugh and the out come is far from that! |

I think one of the best films of the 70s was Quadrophenia with a young Phil Daniels, Sting, Lesley Ash and Ray Winstone. |

Nope Pam, you're spot on there - Christopher Casanove does play his blind father. |

"That'll Be The Day", 1974 with David Essex. Remember going with some friends to see it. I remember thinking that Keith Moon looked really rough in it. Another victim of drugs. I thought Ringo Starr played a good part. My friends were all in love with David Essex, thought he was a bit girly. Good film, haven't seen it for a long time. |

One of my favourite "growing up" films is American Graffiti, also with Richard Dreyfuss (has it been mentioned already?) |
