Hi I'm near Cambridge and it keeps threatening.... fantastic skies sometime but no follow through although it is a bit nippy. I treated the roads with a bit of respect earlier when tackling the M11 and A14 (actually you take your life in your hands at anytime, the A14 was blocked for hours today ........again) but it DID look justa tad slippy....

Julia,

Being a Scot I was used to growing up in the winter with lots of snow. Wonderful memories. Flying down slopes on kitchen trays and skating on frozen ponds.

Now living in England, where we are in Surrey it seems to mostly go over our heads and land in every other county.

Such a pity as my young grandchildren love it but it usually only lasts about a day and if lucky we manage one outing with the sledge.

We have family in Scotland too footie, once went up there years ago now ... snow wasn't forecast and oh my word ... did it fall or did it fall?!

The heater broke in our car, snow was so high that diversions were taking place, put a prayer up (twas midnight time) and two lorries appeared. Somehow got in between them and made it to where we were going. Twas so frightening but I did say thank you. :)
