Evening. Someones spilled the green paint....lol
Not sure if like the new look, but s'pose i will get used to it. Easier on the eyes,but i think the text could be a bit darker. Although i have found if you enlarge the text it stands out a lot better.
If your having probs reading,and If your on Microsoft Internet explorer, you can go to .."View"... at the very top of your screen.....the go to "Text size" Largest Larger Medium ( which is standard ) Smaller Smallest
Could have made that flashing advert on the side a bit smaller.....it takes up half the page...lol
Hope everyones had a great day.

Well its hello from from chief cook and bottle washer . . . as I take a well earned break from getting organised for TLR's conference which starts tomorrow . . .
Fridge just isn't big enough . . . well it is for most of the year . . teehee
Hope your all going along well, I am envious of the talk of vegie patches . . . well just a little . . think I will take the travel for now though and look forward to the veggie patch when I finally get to go back up home. I gave up on the idea of vegies here when they dinny survive me being away for long periods of time.
Merle, I hope things are coming along well for you, and that you are able to get out and about and get into the Christmas spirit.
Hz . . you are such a busy lady, I takes me hat off to you, and your talented beautiful DD . . Oh and not to forget the gorgeous Bz . . teehee
Looking forward to Sunday, and great catch up with Wattlers and the Printheth and Tz are staying over as well.
Well best get the A into G . . mind is busy thinking of all the things I still have to do so best get the body to catch up with it . .
Take care, stay well and give the grin gear a good work out

Hi everyone, Gosh another week gone by and the weekend almost over. The Xmas tree is up, the ham won (lol - yes we won a ham! ), the shoppers beginning to come out in droves ( very busy). It was School carols today and final assembly next Thursday. I have been walking at 6am each weekday - making me sleep well! And I have been spending some time backing up my files and getting my Gedcoms in order, general FH housekeeping that I had been letting go. Merle I had a wild moment imagining your skateboard adventures lol. Sandra I'm growing climbing beans this year for the first time (usually do bush), and they are only just flowering and seem to want to escape over the fence! Tomatoes are looking good and I have my fruit fly baits out! I have begun digging the odd spudtater too. But it seems like it's been windy here for three months on end, gets a bit tiring. Have a good week everyone, Hz

Hi everyone,
yes, OH had a lovely 60th - full of nice surprises for him. Thank you for all the good wishes.
Have been having server problems which has drastically curtailed my time on the 'puter lately.
Enjoy your luxury, HZ. You deserve it and so does your DD :) Merle - I also had visions of you racing away on a skateboard :) Keep up the good work.
Glad your dau got home safely from India, JuneBB, such a nasty few weeks for travellers with Thailand and India.
We are picking cherries here - had to net the tree. My vegeys are coming on slowly - might have something for Chrissy but usually they don't get going till January. Must remember to plant my corn this weekend - was too late last year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ love to all, sorry we can't make it to the Chrissy Party, L'Oz, but I know it will be a good one.
Warm day in Malborn.
Had the morning off from work, because i can......plus........my morning appointments cancelled...:>((
Merle. Nice to hear you are picking up, but best you stay off the trampoline.......lol.......N'aaaaa go ahead.....have fun....bounce away to your hearts content, Dr. Lew has plenty of purple pills if you fall off....hee hee xx
Hope everyones had a great day.
Tony....:>))) ps. Just thought i would leave you with this.
Dear Friends
As we move closer to the end of another year I wanted to thank you for all the e-mails you have forwarded to me over the past year.
I must send a big thank you to whoever sent me the one about rat shit in the glue on envelopes, because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.
Also, I now have to wipe the top of every can I open for the same reason.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it all to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time. But that will change once I receive the $50,000 that Bill Gates and Microsoft are sending me for participating in their special email programs. Or from the senior bank clerk in Nigeria who wants me to split seven million dollars with me for pretending to be a long lost relative of a customer who died intestate. I also never have any email birthday greeting as every one I've been warned will burn my hard drive to death
And I need no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me. I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward emails to seven friends and make a wish within five minutes.
I no longer drink Coca-Cola because it can remove toilet stains. I no longer can buy petrol without taking a friend along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.
I no longer go to shopping centres because someone will drug me with a food sample and rob me.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number and then I'll get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan .
I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my bum.
I can't even pick up the five dollars I found dropped in the car park because it was probably put there by a crazed axe murderer waiting under my car to grab my leg.
If you don't send this message to at least 144,000 people in the next 10 minutes, a large pelican with an acute case of diarrhoea will sit on your head and fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a most unsightly hairy hump.
I know this because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbour's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's plumber - and it was on Good Morning Australia.
By the way.... did you know that a South American scientist has, after a lengthy study, discovered that people with low IQs who don't have enough sex, always read their emails while holding the mouse.
Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.....:>)))
Hi folks, Yes Mary ,am in the pool and also using the skateboard.Physio has a heart attack as my balance never gets any better and it gets interesting sometimes. she won't let me on the trampoline at all. Can't imagine why!!! See the Surgeon for the followup appt.on Sat. and I'm hoping he'll authorise me to continue up there at the hospital,. It's no cost there.. If not I'll try to get in somewhere but $12 each visit to the pool plus$8.00 to get there and back will probably be too much for me. Still we'll see.We've had summer for two days this week.Don't think it's going to last though. Am doing a bit of F.H but not getting far. Going out to lunch tomorrow.Thats exciting for me these days! Bye now luv Me
Arvo.
Reasonable sunny day in Melban.
Went to see the movie premeir " Australia" on Monday night and quite enjoyed it. I'm not a real movie goer normally, but seeing Barb had won a few free tickets...i couldnt bring myself to miss out.....lol Plus...the popcorn and cold drinks were for free.. too....:>))))
Marie. Them O'Brien's in Q.L.D must have had shares in the state....lol Not sure how far up the ladder you have checked the electorol rolls for Q.L.D but there were still a few O'Brien living in Tooley street 1913 and 1919 ( Catherine in 1913 Churchill and Tooley ) and a John O'Brien in Tooley street in 1919.
If you want i can send the pics to you by email as "Attachment" to confirm they are yours, as i would need to know if am on the right track. This also helps to eliminate your John O'Brien last whereabouts ( still alive ) so i can search for a possible death year. There are quite a few John O'Brien deaths with parents unknown, or not listed in the state of Q.L.D............. so by checkng his movements through the electorol rolls of his last place of abode, helps to eliminate other John O'Brien deaths listed in Q.L.D.at a given year.
So if you can PM me your email addy through GR if you want......and i can send you these so you can check them to see if they are your O'Brien.
Tony..:>))
Marie from Bathurst, Thanks Tony, I have been looking in the Historicals death records and they only go to 1914 so I will try Your Web Site. Yes Tony I have been doing this for Years, but was only able to get to the archives in Brisbane very rarely. I will be your adoring Friend if you can crack this wall for me .
Hi June I hope it doesnt get too hot either,I would have Panicked screamed she says also if any of my daughters had been in Mumbi, the world is going Mad. The terrorists should be made to do Family reseach without a Computer. He he he.
.HZ sounds like you had a good weekend.
Marie. Yes...i received your email to me via GR.
Leave it with me, and i will see what i can find out. Cant promise i will find more than you have already, as it appears you have done quite a bit of Family history detective work yourself. Just out of interest though, you were saying that Q.L.D death index stops at 1914......Wasn't sure if you knew that the Deaths for Queensland ( BDM's ) are now up to 1929 on line.
If i can find John O'brien death or anything else i will email you.
