I have the stork and baby off my christening cake.Some icing still stuck on the stork's feet!I also have a blonde curl.

I expect that they do have a musty smell about them old things usually do but what you will be looking at will far outweigh the smell.

two school certs for good attendance
1934 and 1935
scrapp book of news paper cutting
on the coronation of the queens father
old mags from the present queens corination
and clippings
army badges
a pearl neckless given on her 21st
smelling salts and thats just the start
might need the smelling salts
just found out summit shocking
in the old church mag

Hi Helen

Are they still in the envelopes - you might want to consider before burning them if any of the stamps are worth collecting. Who knows you may have a rare stamp stuck on one of them lol

Just spotted this thread.I have a whole bundle of letters that my parents sent to eachother.Tied with a pink ribbon.I havent read them,but just had a peek at a couple.
I couldnt bring myself to read them,and had a chat with my sister to see what to do.We have said we may have a little bonfire and a glass of something and say goodbye.
Their love letters will remain private.
Hope you enjoy them if you decide to take the plunge.
