I remember when my daughter went to uni,after the first couple of weeks she had problems with her bank account(can't recall why) so we had an emergency drive to Colchester with cash so she could buy food!!!6 hour round trip!!

I've devoloped sellotape allergy........eeeeeeeek

Still no paperwork but quote..."it's in the house somewhere"-it looks like a grenades gone off so it'll take some finding..grrr

My son has just been busy choosing what glasses to take .I bet they will be the ones that OH says oh but I use them!!!

Eeyore ,haven't got to the tape stage yet.Everything is gradually spreading through the house.I am not allowed in his bedroom so heaven knows what state that is in!!!!!

PMSL.......this must be going on in hundreds of house all over the UK .......

You can pay the money into a money gram it gets there the next day !!!! my son would have to eat skinheads on rafts .........sod him

get a "BOX" for the paperwork coz there is loads to come !!!

He came home in June very very ill .......so I washed everything and boxed it ......

So we have spent the last three months packing and unpacking the blessed boxes coz he needs stuff .....and now we have to do it again today coz we cant remember whats in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cry cry cry ........I want to runaway .....

Yep, Possitive Eeyore, its covered by the uni.
when you think about it, if a licence was needed for every t.v in the uni.............................
and as long as the Uni have a licence everyone is covered.
Do you have a licence for every t.v. in your house? I dont.
One covers all.

Errr & the bad news is..................You have to have a TV Licence AAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrggggggggh.
Had to speak to Residential Services,sob.
But-if you pay monthly you cancel when they return in the summer so it costs less.

Taff I just googled and TV Licensing says you do have to have one at Uni.

Just discovered we're missing very important paperwork..............so glad I'm not armed :( lol

Lol, ... You do realise that you may have to find room for all this equipment at various times through the year?
Daughter had to clear her room at halls during holidays, but they managed to come to an agreement for one holiday and hired a spare room between them and stashed stuff there.
In my experience there is never enough cupboard space for all the kitchen stuff that a new student ( or Mum) thinks they'll need.... Consider your car load multiplied by the number of students sharing the kitchen.............
Re. TV licence. Keep note of uni term dates. Because our daughter could prove that there was no way she could be using her TV at the end of the academic year,she was able to claim back money for the time until anniversary of when licence was issued.
