My enlightenment comes from common sense, an ability to see and a desire to see evidence before acceptance, as opposed to acceptance without evidence :-)

However, as one cannot use rational argument against an irrational concept, this will make little sense to anyone who is a believer in matters woo :-)

You experiment is a bit of fun and for that I applaud you!

I will attempt to replicate it, however, in a moment, with hopefully excellent results, that will prove conclusively that I have psychic ability :-)

How do You find evidence within an illusion?

Sorry....je ne comprend pas that one...evidence within an illusion...? I suspect some esoteric meaning hidden there.....if so...you will have to explain it in short words!

But to take your question at face value - how do you find evidence within an illusion...?

OK.

Well, first of all you would have to establish that whatever you are talking about is an illusion. Once that is established, then there is no need to go any further because any evidence gained from an illusion is worthless.

Once an illusion has been established not to be an illusion - by whateber means, but preferably with a basis in science - then whatever evidence is there should be treated with the importance it deserves or merits.

But, the thing is...not all we know is illusion and that can be demonstrated in many different ways.

I personally live in a very real and comfortable world, where I know that if I put my hand in the fire it is going to get burnt and it will hurt and if I want to speak to my mother I will use the telephone as opposed to telepathy.

In other words, there is NO evidence that it is an illusion, but plenty that it is not.

I subscribe to the school of thought that if something has feathers, webbed feet, swims, goes 'quack' and is called Donald, it is more likely to be a duck than a massey ferguson tractor :-)
