I'm sorry I think you all think what you see on the telly is real and its not .I don't like to see an animal suffer either but it is and leaving it whilst you try to catch it or trap it or what ever is just prolonging its misery .:-)

I'm sorry but having read through this thread I can't understand why anyone would want to let an animal suffer if it' mangy the logical thing to do is to end the suffering as quick as possable .Waiting to catch it is just prolonging its suffering and as it most likely is haveing trouble finding food would you all feel the same when it starts on the odd pet rabbit or guinea-pig.

If you had rats running around in ill health who would you ring? The RSPCA? I dont think so. Although nothing would surprise me.

Your council wont have an environmental health or pest control dept. Unlike every other council in the entire country.

But foxes are too pink and fluffy and cuddly to be pests I suppose. Better to just let them suffer.

I dont employ a gamekeeper so the RSPCA was my only option.

How kind of the RSPCA to treat your report with such prompt consideration. I am sure you will be very happy with the relief of the suffering you were so concerned about.
