No, I was saying that its not rocket science to ring the environmental health department up when you have a diseased animal in your garden.

If you had rats running around in ill health who would you ring? The RSPCA? I dont think so. Although nothing would surprise me.

I'm sorry but having read through this thread I can't understand why anyone would want to let an animal suffer if it' mangy the logical thing to do is to end the suffering as quick as possable .Waiting to catch it is just prolonging its suffering and as it most likely is haveing trouble finding food would you all feel the same when it starts on the odd pet rabbit or guinea-pig.
As for the personal attack thats out of order!

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:16

Sorry, poxanne, that's something that you will never know :-)

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:18

You are right. I havent seen it.

Thats why I am giving good advice and not stupid pink fluffy walt disney save the whale advice.

All you animal loving lot that think its acceptable to let something suffer for days on end....you really havent got the faintest idea about the realities of life!

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:23

You dont get it, do you. The world according to Walt Disney is not the real one.

Taff

Taff Report 3 Jun 2008 16:26

Did i title this thread "the world according to walt Disney"?

tory

tory Report 3 Jun 2008 16:33

I'm sorry I think you all think what you see on the telly is real and its not .I don't like to see an animal suffer either but it is and leaving it whilst you try to catch it or trap it or what ever is just prolonging its misery .:-)

Taff

Taff Report 3 Jun 2008 16:36

tory, i agree with you, but I have NO way of catching it myself, and beleive me if I did I would!

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:37

No you didn't.

FOX WITH MANGE in caps. was the title.

You chose the advice you took then you got personal when you didnt like the other advice or the banter.

Your thread. Your choice.

Taff

Taff Report 3 Jun 2008 16:39

exactly, MY THREAD!

tory

tory Report 3 Jun 2008 16:40

Then I'm sorry Taff if it was me I would be on to the council or the local land owner who might have or will know of a local gamekeeper to put it out of its misery :-))

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:42

I'll tell you what then. As you think that only people who agree with you should post on your threads, thats np.

You stay off mine and I'll stay off yours in the future?

Is that a deal?

Including the ones where you ask for help for various things?

But I wont copy and paste those bits, cos they might be taken out of context :-)

Taff

Taff Report 3 Jun 2008 16:42

Tory, the council are the land owners, and they are not willing to act, as the garden is my problem. As is cutting the grass, hedges etc,.

I've lived in the country all my llife, seen many foxes with mange.....................the kindest thing is for it to be destroyed.........................

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 3 Jun 2008 16:46

So the environmental health department arent interested in a diseased animal in a back garden?

I would be screaming that from the rooftops, contacting the papers, radio, local councilors, my MP, DEFRA, the whole lot.
