Rose, I saw the hounding and baiting that went on last night of you (and others). It was disgracful , it was like a pack of wolves going after their prey.
You have always been kind to me and i shall miss you, I do understand your reason for leaving

And i can't believe that Eldrick has been attacked too - whatever rhyme or reason is there for that ??


This is where moderated boards come into their own - you do not have the escape route of being able to delete your own threads

If that was the case on GR then everyone would be able to see who the guilty ones are - they wouldn't be able to delete in the dead of night and wear their halo's by day ....................

Just to say thank you so much for your good wishes and kind words.

I also just wanted to say to those who 'encouraged' my leaving and who are bound to read this ...You haven't 'won', you have merely played your game to it's conclusion with me and that is a different thing entirely. I hope that now you will draw a line under the past events and let the boards be fun for the sake of others.

I wish I was the type to ignore the goading lol....I know some can and I admire their restraint and calmness under fire . But sadly that is not me, lol.

Nah, its not a gang culture, lol.

Its just virtual Eastenders. Its a few silly people who over dramatise everything because their sad lives contain no excitement and they have to try to get it from here. The fact that this is a genealogy website shows the limit of their imaginations.

Its not gang warfare or anything like that, it cant be.

I also read the threads last night and very uncomfortable reading it was at that. Not surprised that the thread starters decided to delete them. The bullying and hostility contained in some of the posts said a lot about the posters.

I am sorry to see you go Rose but fully understand your reasons.

Just a shame that the "gang culture" seems to alive and kicking in the cyber world as well as in real life.

Rose I have replied to you on Gen. Have seen the attacks on you (and others) over the past few days, so I can understand that you have had enough.

I suggest you take a break from here and enjoy 'real' life for 2/3 weeks, then come back and rise above these sad cases - they really aren't worth it.

Oh Rose....I have watched with despair the hounding of you on the Chat Board.

I am so sorry to see you go but fully understand why you have had enough.

Life is far too short to get het up about things and people that don't matter one little bit in the scheme of things.

I will miss your fairhandedness and your intelligence on these boards.

Rose, I was not going to post for few weeks but just want to say i agree with everything Skwirrel says its not about banned members its about ego's now i'm bigger and better than you, i can write nasty messages but can i face you NO its so easy to slag people off on here when you don't know them, my grandchildren have better manners than some of the peeps on here.

Take a rest Rose and come back don't let the BULLIES win i for one are sick to my back teeth of them..................grow up and get a life.

It is a shame that things have come to this - I read 3 threads this morning that were sent to my email overnight, the same as always baiting, arguing, and the gangs all here!

This particular issue will never cease to cause rows - but to see one of the most reasonable people on this site walk away never to post again does annoy me.

We all belong to other sites yet we should be able to come back on GR and have some fun with our mates at any given time. I have watched Rose become a target - the play on words the baiting, yet when the row starts the baiters leave and in walks the heavy mob.

I shall miss Rose as this was the only site we both are on, I managed to get my subs paid for by my sister overseas and now wonder why I bothered.

All these rows aren't about why a member got banned, it seems to be more about an excuse to clear some of the women's names here who joined in and realised what people would think of them.

Over the past 12 months a lot of people have left here and seems to have taken the fun with them, I only post on a few people's threads now including R Rose.

I for one shall miss you Rose
