Just spent time with sis-in-law composing letter which I've typed, emailed stating quite categorically that under NO circumstances should my bro be interviewed, spoken to or approached by anyone unless s.i.l (guardian of bro) or his case mngr are present.

Also advised them that we taking legal advice re equivalent of solitary confinement, not even a Carer in room whilst eats.

Sometimes shimmer it's hard to find the right words, and now is one of them for me. As a nurse I am always sad to learn of neglect, cruelty etc by one of my profession.
I am so sorry to learn your brother is paraplegic due to neglect.

I can understand you feeling powerless but you are not. You can support your brother and sis in law and insist on a full investigation. You all have rights - don't allow them to sweep things under the carpet - and they will no doubt try.

I just want to say there are some absolutely wonderful, caring, kind, empathic nurses - to those I say a huge thank you. Sadly, not all are ...

My bro was assaulted by patient who has full use of limbs, who rained blows down on his head,gave him black eye, has been accused of assault ,is in 'solitary' in head injury unit. Couldn't/wouldn't do it (catastrophic head injury, paraplegic); never ever been violent. Bad situation.
They're saying he's dangerous yet he's on their welcome webpage, large picture of happy man with head injury, deep in thought.

Where were their 1:1 carers? My bro's ran when man assaulted bro.

He's paraplegic because of neglect by some 'wonderful' nurses; had third fall, neurologists fear that fall.

Feel powerless.
