Silly Sausage Report 10 May 2008 00:48

** puts senceable head **

I think Margaret Thatcher did more for the working class than she is credited for...

Sue Report 10 May 2008 00:51

Yep Hayley, she sold off the council housing stock so the poor working class were forced into private landlord territory without tenancy guarantees. The wonderful legacy is the massive shortage of social housing.

Sorry I still like you :-))) but I hated her!

If I remember rightly it was the Conservatives, under her leadership, that lifted the restrictions on private rents which meant that private landlords could charge what they wanted to.

Wouldn't be hard, Kim. Since she was credited with doing zilch for the working classes. And even less for the us women,.

sorry to be contentious, but I feel pretty stongly about Mrs T - in my opinion she set the cause of women back a couple of decades at least. And her contribution to the "working class" was to mock them. All you have to remember is the miners' strike - and this country of which i'm proud to be a citizen had the audacity to divert our police into batonning our working men into submission........

sorry - you're entitled to your opinion but that's mine!

Sue , worked for Housing benefits at the time ,went on the poll tax demonstrations because I understood the con they where implementing better than many , suddenly lots of Tory councilors became independants at the next local elections .funny that eh ?

I mean no disrespect to what fems go through in life Kim but how can you openly say "And all the expence" ?
Generally (not all) but generally it is us blokes that run to the shop in times of need to make the purchase of product, so it is out of our pocket really, but in a partnership/marriage the expence is a shared item, it should not be seen as my expence or her expence, the biggest problem today with fem products is, there are so so so many diffent varieties on the shelf, how on earth can you expect a bloke to look through the shelves for an hour to find that product you have your mind set on, just think of yourself at the makeup and lipstick shelves, can you really choose within 2 mins and walk out??????

What I am saying is why are the sanitary products not avaliable on the NHS , condoms are ?? birthcontrol is , yet this one totally natural occurance that affects women is not .
Well done for going to the shops , it still comes out of your pocket ..

But even with the naturals of live, be they an inconvenience at the best of times,
us bloke must also put up with it, not all but many fems do get very moody and we have to wear that, know you don't mean to be, but think of how we feel when getting told off with the evil eye and the waving of frypan.

OH

OH Report 10 May 2008 02:19

Juliecat, I am not having a go at what fems have to go through in life, but please don't forget that we also go through it in a mental form, true I don't know what fems go through but I have a fair idea, I grew up with 5 sisters.
