Need to contact your local paranormal society or Spritualist Church,Your local library should be able to point you at a decent venue you do normally have to pay and if you go on a serious vigil, numbers are limited and alcohol is forbidden. The format of the vigil will differ depending on where and when you go but it will involve mediums, trigger objects and various scientific equipment to measure sound and temperatue fluntuations amongst other things

so are there vigils held every night? Its always at night, isnt it. Strangely enough.

How do you go about getting on one?

I mean, I have enough 'haunted houses' in a 10 mile radius of where I live to keep Derek Acorah in hammed up panic attacks for the rest of his life!

So explain to me...is there a format for a vigil? DO you have to pay? What do you do, I mean is it like the conmedy half hour of Most Haunted or do they takle it seriously?

Eldrick, I would never try and persuade anyone to see things as I do. I'm quite contented just knowing what I know regarding this sort of thing. I'm not a fool who is taken in by anything or anyone but for me it's about believing in things I want to believe in - there are people in my life who have died I want to see again and so it makes life nicer for me to believe I will.

If you want to draw a conclusion from that, that's up to you:)

sorry but all I see is someone asking for proof and I see nothing wrong in that especally when they offer there reasons for not believing.

The national press titles you refer to in your post, there may be vast amounts of coverage but you dont be able to provide any of it

I would love to believe in the spirit world, but every time I ask for some sort of evidence to help me make a judgement, all that happens is that people start shouting.

I think it is reasonable to draw a certain conclusion from that.

Wish I had seen a ghost.......I would love to know if my Mum and Dad were together and I would see them again.......but nothing.......zilch......zero.....

.....I have had no psychic experiences......only once did I 'see' my Mum.......I had a riding accident and had concussion and kept going in and out of consciousness in A&E......and one time I saw my Mum, and she said......its alright Sally, you will be alright chick.......and I said, Mum, I thought you had died, I must have got it wrong, it must have been Dad......then I came to and asked my daughter where Grandma was, and she said.....Grandma's dead Mum.......I broke my heart because it was so real......mind you I was well out of it, my daughter was 6 months pregnant, and they knew there was something badly wrong when I did not even remember my daughter being pregnant......

OK, Tell me what you want to know and I will get you the titles. Theres are VAST amounts of literature and press reports showing all this lot to be absolute fakes.

Press is no problem, but we will probably agree that th epress can be unreliable, but whatever, no worries there.

Eldrick, I have no idea to be honest - I don't really know who they are. I don't go in for the telly and celebrity medium stuff.

I have a lot of faith in a well known medium (although I'm not sure if that's what she calls herself) Mia Dolan who I've seen and whose autobiographies I've read. And in my not very long yet life I've seen several mediums or phsyics or whatever, some of whom have been crap and some of whom have been astounding, particularly one who I am without doubt brought me two messages from people who have died.

I would love to do so...if you can give me any pointers, I will be there like flint.
