I'm also sure some are being recycled. There's names popping up that I haven't seen for a while. Perhaps people are reverting to their previous names??

You could be right there lol. I think it's more a case of second accounts are brought out to say the things that they don't want to be seen saying in their usual ones:)

I've been confused lately as I've seen people use old boardnames (slightly different) but I don't think they are the same people that originally posted under that name. (NB they weren't trying to deceive anyone about who they were either)

As I've admitted before, I've got more than 1 account but the other 2 have never been made live.

It's £9.95 so that I can post under a different number which would buy me 3 bottles of wine down Boozy Bargains.

No I dont think Gen should merge with Chat in my eyes they are very different people in the main who post and a small percentage who cross over to both.

Its a bit like having two cafes or pubs on opposite sides of the Rd. In the main you will always go to the same one.

I lurked in both before I started posting and to be fair it was before the changes on the boards. But I did not like chat - it gave me the creeps and I expect if the same people are on it it still would.

I wouldnt go in a pub / cafe that made me feel uncomfortable so why should I have to partake or read the threads? At the moment I have a simple choice - not to go in there and therefore not to get involved. If we were forced to merge I think I would cancel my subs rather than be forced to mix with people I choose not to. My tree is now mainly worked on in FTM so I choose Gen for the giggles and the people.

But its not the be all and end all of life and I would canx without a second thought if they were forced to merge.

I am sure one or two people on Chat may have the same feelings about Gen.

Its bad enough trying to find a thread on here sometimes let alone if they were all merged.
