In England, Glos, Bitton, Bath, Hanham, toward center from Wales. up from Devon.
John died in pit at Oldland.

yes Cat,, John Lear born 1776 and Jane Ward c1777,
married by Banns at St Mary's Bitton 4 Apr 1797, had family there, John died 1811 from roof fall at Whittucks pit, Jane remarried about 1814 to "Baker" got into trouble for stealing and she along with at least 2 of the children was transported to NSW 1820,
after a period was relocated to Tas.
