Those in Devon say that it was too far for someone to have travelled up to Bitton.
Others have said without saying,
"How dare you suggest a person from Devon would go to that area"

there was a mention of a Richard in Devon with a son names John, apparently Richard had a very bad reputation, so as John grew up he left the area to avoid the same,, but that was a long time ago and I was never able to get back to that person to find out more.

auction on friday, but my son has gr set up on his poota and was able to get pm there, he will let me know when something comes in.

Don't recall where in Devon but Richard if I recall right was born in 1750's, not much help there I know.
