Just about ready for the race (walk) for life tomorrow, thanks to you lot, I've raised £105. There are 35 of us from our company doing this tomorrow, one of whom has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing chemo, her latest dose was on Monday but she is determined to do it. Well done Ruth!

I'm doing this for my Dad who died of prostate cancer, my Aunt Brenda who has suffered with skin cancer for 20 years, and last but definitely not least, for someone we all know who is an absolute inspiration to us all, Jean Durant.

It's 5km, about 3 miles, and to be honest, I've not walked that far in one go since I had me hip done, but I am looking forward to it.

The clowns we are...we will be wearing pale blue company polo shirts (as the company contributed a decent sum to us) pink feather boas and pink sparkly cowboy hats. It's gonna be fun, not a slog.
