Er 2.10 is an early night?

Conan

Conan Report 27 Apr 2008 02:10

Thank you Michelle ............... and Susan
I was rather expecting that someone would take a cursory dig at me and express doubts as to my parentage, as per the norm on this Board.

But if my thread is destined for a serious and sophistiated debate then perhaps I might have an early night.

Be good,

L

Michelle

Michelle Report 27 Apr 2008 02:01

Robin who says we aren't calm?

Karen - I've never come across the Damn Yankees so don't know the sound. Of course I could go find some on the internet if I really wanted, isn't the internet wonderful for certain things. I usually have cds six months before they come big here on the charts, right now Band of Horses (from Austin, USA) are getting huge air play for the song Is There A Ghost, I've had the cd for over six months.

Have Motorhead and Marylyn Manson in my collection but never heard of Celtic woman yet. At the mo Can't get Damn Yankees off the stereo, maybe that has something to do with kind of liking the Bass player I don't know LOL

That's exactly it Karen, if we all liked the same things what a boring world it would be. I listen to everything from Celtic Woman to Marylin Manson and Motorhead.

Robin - Think I already answered that when Susan commented about my music taste, I know what I like. I have to say I don't follow, I listen to music that I think is good and that is really as far as it goes. If you go by the number of cds I have about a particular band in my collection as to who I like the most, then The Ramones would come out of top. But if you ask me what I listen to the most often than it's actually Kate Bush.

Michelele (opps can't even spell me own name some days) Michelle

Desperate Housewife ♥

Desperate Housewife ♥ Report 27 Apr 2008 01:20

if the kids wern't in bed would be listening to Damn yankees at the mo, though Robin could go a bit of "Blowing free" by Wishbone Ash, if ya playing it!

They have to be good to some extent for people to keep wanting to listen to them.

I really meant good songs last.

Conan

Conan Report 27 Apr 2008 01:11

No ............. it is not the good ones who last !

Unless they have a commercial sound !

Michelle

Michelle Report 27 Apr 2008 00:58

Me argue the point? Who is always trying to get the last word in?

Robin - I actually went to the show for Alice Cooper, have liked his stuff for years and have half a dozen cds whereas for KISS I have one cd. Lordi won the Eurovision Song thingy in 2006 if you want to know and I knew nothing of them until the show, they put on the best performance for the night.

And you are right it is only the good ones that last.

Conan

Conan Report 27 Apr 2008 00:57

Not so fast !!!

I know nothing of Lordi

Yet I know that Kiss have a following that can fill any venue most comfortably.

As for Alice Cooper .................... then maybe he would not be my first choice to link two progressive bands.

Maybe we shall hear more of Lordi sometime. But maybe they will drift away like so many others.
