This is a terrible time, waiting for an improvement. Stay strong, you have been up until now. The surgeon said 'there was no choice' you cannot blame yourself as you were just trying to do the best for Billy.

Look after yourself and please try to keep positive.

Julie, my thoughts are with you and Billy. Please don't feel guilty, if the surgeon says you had no choice then you didn't. Praying that Billy is strong enough to fight off the infection and that you are strong enough to keep going. Don't forget to eat yourself will you?
