Ian your memory's going. You forgot the" I deleted my thread" that explained the "I deleted my thread"

I don't think we can respond to the thread about the houses, Ian. It's something Genes have put up to get feedback, I think - it's "stickied" so it stays at the top but it's "locked" so nobody can put replies on - I think Genes want responses to go straight to them.

What a pity that my little thread yesterday upset someone and got deleted. Oh well, its not the end of the world, worse things happen at sea and theres many a slip twixt the stable door and the cat spilling the milk.

I thought that it would be nice to summarise recent events on this merry go round of merry things.

OK, well, today started well, with a thread about a hoax that wasn't a hoax, well it was, but the hoaxer didnt think so and so it turned into a right good free for all slagging off match, just like the good old days when you could come in here and get a cracking fight and see all sorts of fuzzy felt farm animals dismembered. And still have change to get the bus home and a bag of chips. Ahhh, nostalgia, its a thing of the past.

Anyway, moving on, it seems that the weather in various parts of the globe has varied between hot sun and snow. So thanks to everyone for that, much appreciated.

What next...oh yes, an interesting discourse on the merits of various domestic labour saving appliances, most useful and personally I thought worthy of a bit more praise and participation than it got. But well done all the same.

Yesterday there were a number of threads giving intimate details of some interesting ailments. I admit to being enlightened an a number of subjects that I thought in all honesty to be figments of the fevered imagination of mad scientists working in lonely castles with hunchbacked servants.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot the evergreen and always popular songs and poetry threads. The person who remembered all the words to American Pie and took the time to type them so neatly - well done! Excellent! As regards the poetry, I think Eskimo Nell was pushing the boundaries a bit, so thanks for deleting that.

The various computer problems seem to be sorted, thanks to all contributors. The 'where is the off button' still crops up though. Still, I heard that they are starting to send manuals out with computers soon, so all will be well.

One thing that does surprise me is the post at the top of the board about houses. I'm really surprised that no one has responded. Maybe its because everyone flits from house to house like itinerant ferrets nowadays. Who knows, eh!

Various people have gone and others have arrived, reflecting the cosmopolitan, dynamic and fluid changing environment where we can all hit the ground running whilst picking the low hanging fruit to get to first base, eh. Thats what I always say. You cant build bridges without breaking eggs, what!

So, all in all, a splendid few days, with everyone having fun and hardly a wrong word typed. Long may it last and thanks to everyone who participated.

Ian
