Meets are all sizes.
I have been to one where there were just 3 of us.
I understand what you mean though.
Perhaps if there is someone near you, you could meet in town for a cuppa, then a later meet wouldn't seem so daunting, if you'd already met at least one person.

I haven't been to a meet yet, it worries me, I can't cope with meeting lots of people. I would be much happier meeting say 5 or 6 people and getting to know them. I could then cope with something a bit bigger after that, I just get a bit overwhelmed.
