I believe in life after death but have no real thoughts about what it will be like.
It is the firm belief that there is life after death that keeps many of us going through the painful experiences of life on earth.

My Mum used to tell me when I was little that the sprirt is what you will meet, the body is in the grave and that is just a garden to take flowers to, but they are around us in spirit and they will meet us when it is time.

I hope my Mum is with her dog as they loved each other to bits..........

Not afraid of death as it would be nice to meet those I have lost ( well those I like )

and of course that is another question - some believe that animals have no soul and therefore do not pass on but I cannot believe that something that can love another being unconditionally will not have a soul of their own and therefore not be on the otherside so to speak.

my daughter was on a life support machine
after a tragic accident ,
they took it off her and put on ventilator ,
after a while they said they were taking it off her
to see if she could breath on her own ,
luckily she did ,
when she came round , the first thing she said .
was that her granda , told her to go back as it wasnt her time ........always made me think
.............so i really think there is something
for all of us ....after death .

No I don't, it just doesn't make sense to me. If I'm wrong, and if I have to put up with OH's lot, I shall be looking for an ethereal desert island! Strangely, I would rather be reunited with my dog than most of my family.

There must be life after death, a few years ago i woke in the night to find my mum stood next to the bed, she didn't say anything she just stood there, i couldn't move i was paralysed i couldn't speak, then she vanished. this wasn't a dream.

she died a few months earlier.

A few weeks before my Dad died he told us that if THEY came for him again he would go. When we asked who he was on about he said his Mum. He said the same thing the night he died.
I believe that his Mum was waiting for him.

Regards.

I believe. in spirit, spirit is energy so we don't go into the next life as people but as energy like Jesus when he appeared at Whitsuntide as the Holy Spirit and then went back again . I used to wonder how everyone would fit into Heaven if we arose from the grave after Armageddon so this theoty about spirit and energy answered a lot of questions for me, as to how many we'll meet well your guess is as good as mine. I was told once that anyone that had a limb removed in life would have been made whole again so I suppose everyone will be in their prime but what about new babies.... I just don't know anything for sure, just have to have faith.

Helen S - Yes I was looking forward ( ooops not looking forward as I don't want to go just yet ) to meeting those blinking ancestors that have made it so blinking hard for me to confirm who they are !! lol

My mum asked me what I thought when Dad died 18 months ago. Would Dad still know her if she lived a long while after him and aged. I told her that I believed that he would know instantly because he would be there to help her journey. They also lost a son many many years ago aged 6 months and my Dad firmly believed he would be seeing him and they would know each other. No pain, no age, no worries on the other side.

When you ask about generations Jessie, is there some questions you want to ask the ancestors. By any chance?

I believe there is a form of life after death. But we are all equal and look the same. There is no age but we would regonise each other. Something about the soul living on.

I cannot believe that what we experience here on earth is just it - a few short years and then puff - we are no more.

We will never know until it happens but there is one thing for sure we all have to go through it like it not! I therefore find it of some comfort to know that we are all a little worried about 'after' and are all in the dark.

I would like to think that we can still see things in the world. I would hate to not know what was going on in the world when I am gone.

Gosh very serious for a Sunday evening lol

Tina xx of course there are some family we would not rather meet I am sure! lol

Yes, I pretty much believe the same as Kitty and Suemaid.
OH does not believe so can't wait to go "Na na na na na" although I might have moved on from such childish behaviour by then! lol
