1 capful white vinegar
1 capful washing powder/liquid
l squirt Fairy washing up liquid
Top with boiling water, let cool

Makes excellent cleaner for all types of things: floors, bathrooms, fridges, windows + makes house smell nice and clean.

Save electricity by shortening the cables to all your household electric appliances.

Re the directory: you could pester everyone with the same surname as you and see if they fit into your family tree somewhere.

Brilliant idea Ian!
You didn't mention that while we are all busy trawling through the directories with our pen at the ready, we won't need to have our pc turned on so we will save all that energy at the same time.

Old telephone directories make ideal personal address books. Simply cross out the names and address of people you don't know
