Where is K9 by the way and Jackie, and Mickey and Rose's dad? I thought they may have been around.

does this quote help?????

It has also been confirmed that Tennant will appear in four specials to be aired throughout 2009. as well as the complete fifth series in 2010, however there is no confirmation if he will play the character after this point.

found on Wikepdia under tenth Doctor heading.

Also on wikepedia......

In "The Stolen Earth" the tenth Doctor is shot by a Dalek while running toward Rose. Captain Jack, Rose and Donna bring the Doctor into the TARDIS where he begins the regeneration process. However if he regenerates into his eleventh incarnation it would theoretically create a paradox as he has to meet Professor River Song in his tenth reincarnation for her to recognise him, as stated in the "Forest of the Dead", as well as Queen Elizabeth, who declared the Doctor her sworn enemy in "The Shakespeare Code" - though considering the Ninth Doctor's statement that Time is in flux, this may not be the case; further, Tennant is contracted to play the Doctor in 4 specials in 2009

David Tennant does stay as the Doctor. You can see clips on 'youTube' of the filming of the 2008 xmas special featuring the cybermen.
I've a feeling they are going with the split 2-Doctors thingy and it may be David Morrisey playing the 2nd Doc as he's in tons of scenes in the xmas special working along side the Doc....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***sobs uncontrollably***

Not my David......

Errrrrrrr, whose David! lol

Just had a text from my Dr Who mad friend who's heard that James Nesbitt is going to be the new Doctor. My friend is more concerned though with what he's going to do with his Dr Who style overcoat and if he'll have to start dressing like Sylvester McCoy! lol

My therory is ...they are trapped in a small pocket of time so although he regenerates for the end of this series when he returns to 'normal time' (ie the Christmas special) he will resume his last generation...our David :)

Jeanette - I'll take David Tennant, you can take James Nesbitt. lol

Joy - I think I need therapy......

I'm really really not happy about this regeneration lark.

I'd wondered to myself where's Jeanette? ... :-)

James Nesbitt has been rumoured to be a future Dr Who, yes, but it seems to me that he can only do his native Irish accent.

Hi Joy.....it's too soon for him to go....I'm not ready yet.

I missed Christopher Ecclestone when he went but they had prepared us.

I don't wish to appear greedy but I'll have David and James if you don't mind! lol. Now, if they could just figure out a way to get celebrity tv chef James Martin into the script I could die a happy woman! lol

Joy....what's wrong with an Irish accent? *swoons*

Joy

Joy Report 1 Jul 2008 19:07

I like Irish accents, though a strong Cork one I find not easy to understand sometimes ... :-)

But he just doesn't seem to do an English accent (not when I have heard him); whereas Scottish David Tennant does a very good English accent. And the Doctor has always spoken in an English accent. Don't think that can be changed .... just like K9 - affirmative, master.

Preview-ish: The 'Doctor Who' Finale
This week on Doctor Who, erm... well... you see... I don't know what happens.
Yes, for the first time I've not been allowed a glimpse of the final episode. Can you believe it?!
Truth be told, I would feel more offended but this blackout is absolute. No-one in the media has been able to see the frighteningly-titled 'Journey's End', meaning we'll all be watching the season climax for the first time together this Saturday.

I can, however, share these rather curious pictures of scenes from the finale:

As we can see, Sarah Jane doesn't die (but then, she was never going to, seeing as she has her own spinoff show and all). Plus, Jackie and Mickey return! There's no sign of Pete Tyler.

Next up, courtesy of those lovely people from Blue Peter, a 30-second clip of the finale. Hit 'play' below to watch:

Is Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) going to die in the finale of Doctor Who?

Neil: When I spoke to her earlier this year about the finale, she said that the door had been "left open" for her character to return. Read into that what you will.

Do we have a start date for The Sarah Jane Adventures? And can you confirm mickey and martha are the Torchwood replacements for series 3 ?

Neil: Sarah Jane season two is currently being filmed for an expected late September premiere on BBC One. I can't confirm anything about the new Torchwood additions, but personally, I'm hoping for newbies. Or a resurrected Tosh. Or even just the corpse of Tosh, I don't mind.

Hello Joy - I feel a little bereft to be honest.

I'd been looking forward to the episode so keenly for a whole week and now it's over.... I've got to wait until Christmas to see David again....

he's all alone out there.....well one of him is....

It was an edge of the seat episode, I knew he wasn't going to change. And Rose got her Doctor, well his human version anyway. lol Roll on Christmas.
