He certainly watched the new Dr Who but hasn't really commented on it..........unless he did but I wasn't listening..........lol

Yes I was surprised at the amount of different Auricular names.....bloomin' good job I went armed with a list ( as I'd decided on which ones before hand )

The plants are now in the greenhouse.....along with the sad crippled butterfly.
I'd been eagerly awaiting it's emergence only to find it has broken wings......poor little thing.

so she will, Amanda - and Spain's just the country to have fun in.

I've had a look at the site - amazing - there's even one called "Andy Cole". I always knew there was a footie connection between us - inspired NUFC poetry went along the lines of - Oh, Oh, Andy Cole: he's just scored (wait for it) - another goal"

Has OH enjoyed the new Dr Who?

I hope your friends house selling plans all wok out well.........it seems we are in uncertain times regarding selling and buying houses.

Auriculars are a type of Primular flower....much prized and are "specialist" plants that folk get obsessed with.Have a look at woottensplants
web site if you want to see some.

I am doing my best not to worry about Rach. I just want her to have Fun Fun Fun...........lol

Hi Amanda

Wish Rachel God speed from me. She's in for a real treat.

I don't know what Auriculas are. What are they please?

Lula was looking a bit whimsical in the photo - perhaps she knows that her house and garden are about to be sold from under her? Anne reckons she can just about manage to stop work if she sells the house. Though quite where she's going to live after that I'm not sure.

Do try and not worry too much about Rachel. So much easier said than done, I know.

Hello Sue..........the globe trotter is due to fly tomorrow evening..........she is packed and already ensconced at the boyfriends home.I am resisting the urge to start worrying about it all.........lol

We had a few small flurries of the white stuff earlier today.

I am a happy person today because I've been buying Auriculas for my garden.Lots of Fancy ones.Hope I don't manage to kill them..........lol

Did Lulu dig holes in the snow ?

Are you out there somewhere, Amanda?

Has the globe-trotter trotted off yet?

Is there snow your way? Just a bit of a flurry here, but that's the salt air, I guess? I had an e-mail today from Anne (my friend from near Cheltenham) with a couple of pics of Lula, the dog, cavorting in the snow in her garden. She reckons it's three inches deep her way.

Travel broadens the mind - and makes folks realise the value of what's at home.

Have a ball Rachel!

That is SO lovely..............lol

I have often been accussed of being to nice..........lol

But that is just the way I am Sue...........except when it comes to the next door neighbous and their 10 to 12 cats..........grrrrr

Regarding my Rachael................I would like like to think that eventually she will see me as the beacon of light that I am.............lol
She has her heart in the right place and will I hope grow into a good member of the population.

You are just too nice, Amanda!

I very much hope Rachel enjoys her trip.

Personally, from what little I know about you and yours, I think she's got a whole lot more to learn from you.

Except in the shoe department.

Yes and no...........lol................I admire most people for one reason or another.............personally I have no urge to go out side of our Isles so Mrs Boyfriends ability to pack luggage sensibly to travel abroad is to be commended. They ( Mr and Mrs Boyfriend ) did chat about various holidays to various places so I guess they know a thing or too.

I don't believe they are travel in search of the arts but Rach will have an experiance of a lifetime which ever way.

I admire my daughters "have a go" attitude.

The passpor t has been handed over to the boyfriends Mum ( she seems like she knows what she is talking about ) we met the other day.

"What if the luggage gets lost ? " askes I ?

"We pack our bags with some of each others clothes in each case "( so if luggage is lost at least you have something to wear ) answers Mrs boyfriends Mum............sounds good and sensible to me..............lol

So much do I understand you, Amanda........

Me - have you got your purse?

Rachel - do you think I'm an idiot, mam, of course I've got my purse. Do you want me to show you?

Me (shrugging off the answer yes) - no, of course not.

Me - have you got your passport?

Rachel - now, why would I have come to an airport to go on holiday without a passport (heavy sarcasm)

Me - (has she really remembered her passport?) Of course, honey...........

Hope OH manages to reconcile himself to the growing up of number one daughter. Rachel's dad never did.

Indeed Rach is nearly ready for the off..........she has borrowed a suit case from a friend...........lol
I am being really good ( for me ) a not poking my nose into what she has or has not packed.

OH is alright with daughter number one goinig away.........he and she are SO alike....they tend to head off on a regular basis but she has not been going out of her way to annoy him lately............lol

Hope old "no name" has a nice time with Sharon and comes back in due course.

Does that make sense?
