Cor, I never thought I'd manage a plant reference you didn't know. but bougainvilleas are popular ornamental plants in most areas with warm climates. You can find a link to them on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bougainvillea

Popular around the doors in med climates.

Have a good night.

Speak to you later.

Not sure as to what bourgonvilliae is ?.........but is it liquid and therefore might seep through the up-turned sombrero..........?

I could always plant it up with nasturtiums......lol

Got to go as Megan has been a lovely Auntie and got them off to sleep , so now its now her go on the p.c.
Have fun on your footie thread...........

What a depressing thought Amanda - we all become part of the food chain. Well, as long as we're at the top of the hierarchy, just as well we can enjoy children, flowers, butterflies ........... and the odd bevvy!

Passes a parsnip and pomegranate home brew your way.

(ps - you are going to so love that sombrero!)

Lol..........I gave Rach a verbal list of what not to buy me and it included a Donkey..........lol

Yes , sleeping youngsters are indeed beautiful.Daisy had a snooze after the dog walk....i knew it was a mistake but she couldn't have stayed awake if she'd have wanted to..........lol

I let the poor butterfly go a couple of days ago, I probably would have retrieved it if it was still about but it has wandered off or become somethings meal..........such is life.

I'll be looking out of the car windows tomorrow on the journey to Enfield.......might spot some wayside primroses or Bluebells.I do love the Spring time.

And is the disabled butterfly doing any better?

This is a lovely time of year. Everywhere I look, the daffodils are out. On the side of motorways, in bits of hedgerows, everywhere.

Funny to watch small children fighting sleep, isn't it? They fight it for ages, and then give up in a split second. And then they look so very peaceful.

I'm glad Rachel's having a good time. Clear a space in your house for your pressie. The first time I ever went to Spain I brought my mum this luvverly donkey thing. All credit to her, she kept it out on display. And I'm tolerably sure it wasn't because she loved it. But come to think of it, if Damien Hirst had been around........

Lol..........I should be so lucky........my youngest daughter Megan has kindly gone upstairs to sit with them until they drop off to sleep ( which knowing William will be 11pm )
They have been bathed , fed etc and ought to be worn out as he has been to school all day and Daisy has been with us walking the dogs " Nanny my legs ache.........carry carry " ..........lol

Rach has been in touch via Be Bo ( or some such thing ) with Meg.........she is having a good time and has bought lots of gifties for us at home.

My garden is looking good , noticed that some Bluebells are out in flower today.........the greenhouse is stuffed.........sowed various Beans yesterday........I have run out of shelf space.........lol

Have a carrot juice and cumin seed cocktail, Amanda. it's on the house.

Have the grand-kiddies gone off to sleep? All Vosene, nighclothes and thumbs in mouths? That takes me back!

Have you heard from Rachel?

And how goes the garden?

Anyone for a drink or two? We do a mean line in cocktails. And we've recruited Betty Turpin so home made pies are on the menu.

Poor old butterflies - so beautiful and with such a short life expectancy.

Off to bed now. If I don't speak to you beforehand, enjoy Enfield.

And if Rachel rings, I so much hope she's enjoying herself.

Yes I did collect the tea cards but I haven't got them now.

The butterfly is safe in the greenhouse , I will put it out when the weather is warmer .If it becomes somethings dinner then so be it but at least it has had a few days this way.No doubt Lunar would love to make its acquaintance.

I'm off to a big family party next week end in Enfield. An old Auntie has just turned 80 and there is a surprise party.I hope she dosn't die of shock when this branch of the family actually turns up for a change............lol

Poor old butterfly.

Did you ever collect PG Tips cards? I did - and I have a few full volumes, including butterflies of the world.

Which inspired me to plant a buddliea in the garden of my last house.. Numerous butterflies, one cat - just as well it was a very old mogey with no chance of catching anything which actually moved!
