Hi Helen,

I am in Solihull. I haven't noticed about the Shropshire meet but with my mum ill and daughter's hospital appointments I am not making any plans at the moment. But I will make a note when I see the thread.

Jacky :-)

hiya,
I'm a native Brummie but don't live there now, am in Telford. I was born in Ladywood. We moved to Bromsgrove when I was 5 and then to Telford When I was 11. Whereabouts are you?

Are you coming to Ladylol Pussercat's meet in Shropshire in June?

oooo page 6!

Hi Brummie Helen, I am fine thank you. I live in brummie land too :-) but I am not a native. Hope you are well.

When I come onto this site I always go back a couple of days to see what is happening. At times that can be several pages. I suppose I just assume that others go back further than page 1.

I'm not complaining really and I have had some great replies and PMs. Also a lot of help in the last few days on records :-)

Jacky :-)

PS I miss Jude too so if you are looking in... hello :-)

I have very little time on the computer, but try to answer at least one thread a night. I miss Jude as well, but can pm her if I want. Dont forget to look up your threads as that way you can be sure not miss any replies. People are mostly friendly on here even if we disagree with each other. Jean

Hi Jacky ,
Iv'e been a member since 2006
in the beginging i used to put up a thread or post
and get no answers there it was gone straight of page 1 .
Then i thought o.k. i'll try again and tried to join in with a thread only to be told who did i think i was
poking my nose in (does anyone know her ) so
after that i didn't post for a long while i just got on with my tree .
I do post now and again but not to often ,i just read the boards some times having a good laugh and some times having tears in my eyes when some ones sad or hurt .
but on the whole there a good bunch on here now .
oh and just to let you know i'm a thread killer lol.

Hi Jacky,

Sorry you've been feeling neglected of late, I often feel this way !!! People have families, work and other outside influences that making a response sometimes gets delayed, and before you know it the message has gone off page 1. Don't take things too personal there are lots of friendly people on the boards. I've find it difficult to get to the computer sometimes when my teenagers are around !!

Take care
Anne

Thank you all for adding more replies - I have never had a thread last so many days!!

I have had numerous PMs from people saying that they feel the same and many have said they will now start posting so I hope my little moan may have done some good.

I have also had a lot of thread killers PM me and if there were as many thread killers on the boards, no threads would ever get replies so you can't all claim the title!

Mildred - I do post on people's threads and I have done for years. It was my own threads that were the problem. (I used to be Gladys with the white net curtains on the threads for Gaynor).

Jacky :-)

Hi Jacky

As a fellow long standing member, I have also had topical threads bypassed , or a couple will post a reply, the thread will drop off the first page as other people add to other threads.

Half hour later, someone will post an identical thread (now mine is off the first page) having heard the news themselves and not realising the subjects already been covered.

They may get lots of replies, because, in the half hour since my thread came & went, more people have looked in on the board. So are only aware of the newest thread.

Its part and parcel of being a board poster. I dont take it to heart as I will have more replies to other threads I post, its swings & roundabouts as someone else said.

As for cliques, im proud to be part of one, if that what you call friendship circles on here. There will always be those you feel comfortable with, as you do in real life .

And as in real life those circles become wider as you get to know other newer members (or even old members)

I find posting on other peoples threads is a great way to branch out and make friends, especially if you answer the person personally (as I'm doing so now)

H i Jackie,

I don`t come on much these days as i am truly sorry to say i feel the same.
Also i feel that when i add to a thread that nobody adds after me.

I do hope that i am not the "Thread Killer".
