Jean Durant Report 1 Apr 2008 17:15

At the risk of boring everyone silly just thought I would let those interested know I have seen my consultant today.

The cancer in the large bowel is contained and they are not too worried about that at the moment.

The carcinoid cancer is in the small bowel, stomach and liver and is inoperable.

I have now been referred to Barts for chemotheraphy which, hopefully should start in a couple of weeks and last six months after which time there will be a review of the situation.

Of course the downside to all this is the fact that I have fallen madly in love with my delightful Italian Consultant and will not see him for at least six months. Let's hope the Doctors at Barts are 'fit'
and can help with withdrawal symptoms LOL.
