We'll have to agree to disagree, Benjamin. I wouldn't say Edgware was Central London but I do think of people from Edgware as being Londoners - same as Camberwell which as I'm sure you know was in Surrey.

Most men drivers !! Sorry
I drive a big car and I find that every time I go out in it at least one male driver will either try and race me, cut me up or drive so close they are almost in my car !
Rude people
Waiting to pay for shopping when tills are closed and staff seem to be talking and hanging around
Parents who shout & swear at their children
spitting why do men do that???
People who judge others when they dont know them or the facts
People that stare and tutt at my daughter who has no physical disabilities but who has mental disabilities
rant over

There is a difference between London and Greater London though. You wouldnt consider Enfield as Central London even though it is North.

Sally, Camberwell is virtually Central London. I have ancestors who lived in nearby Walworth for a short while in the 1870s.

Had to think there......and just googled for Edgware, Stanmore and they come under Greater London.....

Yes, people who totally ignore you when you open a door for them.

Cashiers who ask you 20 questions when you are paying for something.

Cashiers and shopkeepers who ask you to repeat what you said to them or ordered from them.

Drunks going round shouting abusive things at anyone inparticular.

Benjamin, the Post Office don't yet have the power to say where a place belongs whatever postcode they give it:) Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire has an RG postcode, which is Reading in Berkshire.
Edgware is in Middlesex but it's still London.

Edgware has a Middx post code though. It is techinically Middlesex, just may be considered as London.

Till assistants who (because they know the customer in front of you) have a long in depth conversation with that same customer, oblivious to the fact that there is steam coming out of your ears and you are in danger of exploding at any moment. I have been known to snap "Any time this year would be nice ", I know its rude ,but then they are rude keeping me waiting while they yap to their friend.

I live in Hemel Benjamin and can understand your irritation with these pseudo cockney/Londoners.......a lot of families moved into this new town from the East End.....I came from Camberwell.....

......well to hear them you would think they had Bow Bells for earrings......and as you say, when you ask they are from Harrow and points north.....lol.....

My OH and his family are Eastenders going back to the 1700s, and they are fairly well spoken.......what is all this with the Cockney accent, do they think they will sound cool....?
