£15.00 from Wilkensons Tina. When I had my new carpet Jan before last I asked to keep the large offcuts cos I just new something would happen.

First party of the summer and as I cleared up I wondered why my coffee table had moved ......as I put it back to centre of room I saw the fag burn!!!!

Cut out a circle matched it to same place on off cut and superglued it in its place - its very hard to see the join - but you have to make sure pile is facing the right way when you do it - my dad taught me that.

Gosh the sun is soo strong I can hardely see my screen..... Wonder how quick it will turn I can see the clouds banking up over Ashton Court way.

Yes, it did say it was going to coincide with some of the highest tides of the year. Fingers crossed for those by the severn who get flooded at times like this (again).

Like an April day here. Sunny one minute and heavy showers the next. not cold though.

Right I have sorted out Flower pots on Drive and tidied up my back garden and put things in the shed or weighted them down with bricks - only thing now is my wall. I could park alongside it to break it from the wind (theres a big crack in a V shape from a prang on Friday) as its only small about 2 foot high but if the wind comes from the other direction it could hit my car if I do that - so its my car or next doors ..... mind you I have knocked and told them about the crack - if they have any sense they will pull forward on there drive in case it does go so will miss their car.

Tina, just click on favourites which should be near the top of your screen and click add to favourites. When you want to open it again, just click on favourites and find it in the list.

Sue unfortunately, once it gets dark you won't see anything. I just found that out by clicking the tabs above the image to different times...it was just pitch black before 7 am.

You do Maddie? Is that council provided or is that your own? If its council then Im ringing them up in the morning asking where mine are lol !!

Anybody who had damage in the last windy gales should write down the date etc. Same for today. Your insurance company may very well check what the weather was like should you need to claim for any damage.

Used to work for a major insurance company and if they could get out of a claim then they would !! I remember typing one letter to a claimant saying could they not buy a rug or cut out a piece of carpet from under the settee/chair to either cover or patch the burnt hole from a fallen ember!! Honest its true. lol

LOL Buttercup I've got those stackable recycling boxes one for bottles one for card and one for paper - they have flip lids so you cant see how many bottles in there lol.

Mommylonglegs Report 9 Mar 2008 15:45

Still lovely and bright here, but turning colder.

Hubby has excelled himself today. Tidied back garden up, (which is like a building site at the mo) moved anything that might blow away. Been to the tip as we forgot to put our recycling bin out, and believe it or not mowed the lawn for the first time this year, shame cause we had loads of Daisies.
We are worried about the tiles on our roof as a lot of the concrete holding them down has come off during the gales a fortnight ago.

Christine, the last holiday we had before Hubby died was a caravan holiday at Bryn Owen, because Hubby was too ill for camping. I will never forget that holiday nor the children. Dave had his walking stick and pretended to poke Jelly Fish with it and chase the girls with it, lol.
The camping site was just down the lane from Bryn Owen on the left hand side. There was a little brook that the children loved. Oh for those days again.

Jenny a little tearful now.

xx

Hi
Just got back from a bracing walk along BLACKPOOL sea front. Sunny, cloudy, spots of hail, dark clouds, rainbow and the River Dance ferry has keeled right over onto it's side.
Home now tying the cover back over the garden furniture and putting the movable objects away.
Have a comfortable, cosy night
