I've still got blue sky...... we had a waft of cloud about 20 minutes ago, but the sunset is quite stunning... and highlighting a heavy bank of thick, dark grey cloud moving in.. the leading edge is all tinged in pink... it looks quite beautiful, totally surreal... and a little menacing at the same time, lol!!

Am setting up a bed in the lounge, I think... we are surrounded by large trees, with our bedroom on the *tree-side*... the spare double bed is horribly uncomfortable, and there is no way I'd fit into the travel cot, lol!!

Love

Daff the not so intrepid!! xxxx

Rose I think you've just had the last of todays showers ahead of that storm...looking at the satellite images I would guess you have a couple of hours before it hits Snowdonia.

OOh patches of blue sky back now - but not light enough to bother turning the spotlight over pc off.

OOh and more rain ...

It's been glorious weather here almost all the time today, and had a lovely walk on the prom. The sea looked awesomely beautiful; and the view was tremendous of Old Harry (the rock) and the Purbecks, and the ferry coming into Poole.

Having said that you will still be able to see it on the IR images so keep watching. It's over Ireland as we speak and about to hit our south west coast.

Don't get complacent you lot in the north, it is set to hit the whole of the UK with the south west bearing the worst of it.

We went dark about ten mins ago Tina I had to switch the lights on. We had hail then all very still and dark - then some heavy rain but only for a few mintes. Its all very still in the garden but no blue sky to be seen.

All the cats have bolted through the catflap and taken to there various fav places around the house.

Thanks Maddie - have never been into Wilkinsons - lots of people have said what good bargains they find in there etc. I must have a nosey meself! There's one in Union Street I can meander up to.

Well, what a good lass you are. I must admit when we had new hall, stair and landing carpet they took all the offcuts away - I was a bit short-sighted. lol.

Yes it has been really sunny here in Bristol - although I must say that the few clouds that were white fluffy ones are now turning into black blobs and if I look towards River Avon and the bridge can see the sky is very dark now and its obscurring the sun as its setting.

Silverlady -

I have not got a phobia with wind but do not like it one bit so (((((hug))) for you and hope that it wont be too bad where you are. xx

I have been looking at the weather on some other site and they say it will start at about 12mph and get up to about 35mph here in London at about 4am. Maybe getting to 38mph before dying out some time tomorrow evening. Can just about put up with that as I have a real phobia about strong winds. Not going out until lunch time tomorrow so hope it has done its worse by then. Take care where ever you are.
