Not that I am aware of.
My dad died 6 yrs ago, at 90, he was into researching his family tree, and born in the same village as my Mam ,she knew all her relatives also. My Mam's sister is 90 now and she helps me with my research.
Mam's aunt married my Dad's uncle, so they had the same cousins:)

Do you ever wish you could turn back time to alter a specific thing ..?
I know it can't happen !

Only back far enough to tell Mum about some of the family stories I've disproved whilst researching my tree. She'd be fascinated.

Have you had your eyes opened to any myths perpetrated by your family?

The 16th century mainly because of the Tudor period which I have always found interesting as so many changes were made to the church.

If you could go back in time where would it be and why ?

The Ramblers Association for obvious reasons, lol
And was either Chair ,Sec or Treasurer for the PTA inn both junior and Secondary Schools for 12 yrs, we had so much fun on raising funds for the school. we were the first in the area to have a Chocoholics evening, I'd printed flyers out and distributed them with the help of my children and their friends, we had such a response we had to move from the infants hall into the main hall and they were still overflowing into2 neighbouring classrooms.
I think we must have had all the women from the village there (it's a large village !! ). The lady from Chocoholics was so amazed at her takings, she never had so much before she upped our 'cut' by 75%. At our annual fete and BBQ we used to make close to £2K, We bought a computer for each class and 2 of the largest teles that very available at the time , one for infants and one for Juniors, (my eldest is now 24) plus loads of other useful items.. It was so much fun and we had community spirit !
Not quite so much fun in the secondary school,( up to GCSE level,) then my children went to different school for their A levels, so I hung up my boots !..lol

I'm not a film buff but have some favs..... Do you have a fav film..?

I have a very varied taste in music. In fact the only music I'm not keen on is opera - even then there are some favourite arias and choruses that get belted out in the car in traffic jams to pass the time.

I sing in two very different choirs one is the town choir established around 100 years where we sing a lot of sacred choral practising Vivaldi's Gloria, John Rutter's Requiem and Zadok the Priest at the moment. The other started up about 6 weeks ago and we sing current songs. Because of being so new we only have 3 songs at the moment, Sugababes song Overload, Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Killing me Softly. About to start a 4th this week Sleeping Satellite by Tamsin Archer. We've already sung twice in public - we were booked before the choir even met for the first time. And we got encores both times so we had to repeat our first song lol.

I love both of them and find them very therapeutic too.

Do you belong to any local societies and if so for what activity?

My legs, I've always been athletic, and do a lot of brisk walking daily.
Pity rest of me not in quite the same shape, but my BMI is just under the average for my height so mustn't complain. I'm in better shape now than I was 10 yrs ago.

What type of music of music do you enjoy ?

*$parkling $andie* Report 4 Jul 2010 16:21

No, I keep it short ; it needs a cut now and is getting on my nerves. I do pull it back at the nape of my neck if it's hot just to cool down but it's only about an inch long.lol

What is your hairstyle ?

I have in the past , but have learnt by my mistakes and don't any more :)

Have you ever told a white lie to save someone's feelings..?

DizzieLizzie

DizzieLizzie Report 29 May 2010 09:16

Yes but I didn't find it saved any time and you can't spot new stuff on the shelves and stuff that's on reduction - I mean the things where the date's running out. I don't buy them for the sake of it but sometimes there's something useful for use straight away or to pop into the freezer to make it last longer.

Oops! Forgot question.

Do you ever fall into the trap of buying something because it's reduced that's not really useful to you?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 May 2010 22:43

No, not really.
My dau used to do most of the cooking for her flat mates whilst in uni, was renowned for her Xmas dinners which they also invited the lads that they knew from school who went to same uni, and some other friends, so about 10 in total. She does some cooking for herself and I get offered some then cos she usually does too much !
Son can make himself a sandwich and chicken and salad wraps ! Oh and a bowl of cereal :)

Have you ever used on-line shopping for groceries..?

DizzieLizzie

DizzieLizzie Report 27 May 2010 19:21

It depends. During the week when one or both of us is working we eat our main meal in the evening and something lighter at lunchtime. On Saturday it may depend on our plans, but generally Sunday Lunch is a trad roast at lunchtime, unless like a couple of weeks ago our son arrived in the early evening on Sunday after an overseas trip so I held the roastie off till the evening for him.

He just cooked a lovely meal for me as he's been home and I was at work today. When he cooks he goes to town a bit. Do your kids (whatever age) like to cook for you?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 26 May 2010 22:35

I don't have supper, our evening meal is about 6pm.
I may have yoghurt of a piece of cheese at about 9 if I'm hungry.

Do you have your main meal at midday or evening ?

Easter Bunny

Easter Bunny Report 26 May 2010 21:52

chocolate is my downfall too,I can't resist it.I prefer dark choc which is just as well as I have diabetes and it has less sugar.I love chocolate brazils.
I also eat crisps a fair bit but am trying not to and be sensible lol

What time do you usually have your supper?

DizzieLizzie

DizzieLizzie Report 26 May 2010 19:50

Yes I do, and no I'm not very, but I've made a small start on getting closer and hope to improve. I'm not a great one for dieting as I'd never had to until reaching a certain age so my brain's not hard wired to be good. I'm definitely not going to be faddy but will try to eat sensibly and moderate snacks and treats. This should be easier in the summer as my main treat is chocolate and if it's hot I don't fancy it so much - I like it crisp and cold.

Do you have a particular treat that is your downfall?
