Us Four,( and whoever happens to be staying over for Xmas, nobody this year) get up around 8.30 and watch each other one by one open their presents from under the tree, My two 21 and 18 havents had a stocking for the past three years.

Do you ever make home made oven chips?

Chill out, go for a walk, have egg and chips for lunch, anything that's not Christmasy.

Do you still put out presents for the family in sacks, so they can open then when they get up ?
( at what ever time that maybe) ...I wake mine up at 9 at the latest !
They're 22 and 20 now so not quite so excitable !

We don't collect coins but we do have an Elizabeth I silver coin dated 1588
plus the odd assortment of old halfpennies, pennies, thruppences etc.

What do you do on Christmas afternoon?

Only knew about the 12 days after.
Mine go up on the Sat before Christmas, even if that's Christmas eve!

Have you watched the series Long way down (Scotland to Capetown) and Long way around{ GB to New York (I think ) }starring Ewan Mc Gregor and Charlie Boorman ride bikes the whole of those distances. Shown on BBC on Sundays ? Fascinating!

Did you know that traditionally, decorations should go up 12 days before Xmas and come down 12 days after?

I've ordered my chicken from my local butcher, pick up Xmas eve,
hubby is working Xmas eve til noon so will pick up veg and bread then.
I am not going near our supermarket, if I can help it after the Monday before Xmas.

Do you lay Christmas wreaths on your lost loved one's graves ?

It will be a festive nutroast...not yet decided all the ingriediants. I will buy a turkey breast and kilted sausages for my son.

Yes , and am annoyed (could use some stronger words) as family are listed and I requested to my local council that they would not be added to the list available to outside organisations .! .......Thankfully tel No. isn't on there, although not ex directory we are not listed.

I love Christmas Pud but this year I'm the only one at home that does - the little individual ones just aren't the same.
