Postman has come, and i have the letter in me hands lol

What a bummer, maybe he's just late, have tried calling sorting office at bottom of high street?..... Also did you apply online?

Now i know why the postman didn't come today..i think he didn't come out at all

No letter, so phoned them and yes they went out yesterday so will have to wait for tomorrow, and she wouldn't tell me over the phone

No..and i think the postman is doing this on purpose, as he is never normally this late lol..Im thinking i'll go and wash me windows to pass some time lol

Thanks for all your advice Dawn Will call them today. I think that is why we are so upset because this decision feels like they are splitting up our family.

Kaz, I put a thread up about appealing yesterday as my daughter is the only one from her school and the village to not get in to first choice. Rang admissions office to see where on waiting list, she is 5th. Know there are 2 from hers going private so just need there to be another 3 somewhere for her to get in! Am filling in appeal form too, you should have a good case as has siblings there. I was told by admissions office here that siblings get priority then they look at distance - we are 19 metres further than cut off point!!
I would check where he is on the list, made me feel more hopeful. Hope things work out.

I only put one choice down for my daughter last year and she didn't get it.....she got a school 10 miles away. But, once all the results were out for the private schools places became available at the school of our choice and she got a place.

Kazz.....are you appealing?

Postman hasn't been yet, but just back from the school and a girl in my son's class has been offered nothing, so now starting to panic..so do i or do i not open his letter

Kaz...i can't believe that i always thought siblings were guaranteed (sp) a place

I am surprised too, Claire, we will appeal but I haven't
heard of many winning appeals (if anyone).

Kaz I'm surprised that your son didn't get into the school as he has siblings already there. I would suggest that you look at the school's admissions criteria to see if siblings get a place before children closer to the school. If need be appeal.

Finger crossed it is good news today for you and your daughter and to everyone waiting!

I heard yesterday and my son didn't get into the first choice which is the one his two older brothers go to, Am feeling really upset and so is he.

Hope you get your choice Julie we got our letters yesterday and my trips got where we wanted now its just the expense of the uniform.

We put 3 choices on the list but to be honest we will be gutted if she doesn't get her first choice.
We moved 35 miles to get her into that school!
