I'm sort of back - give me a shout when we have an HJT log.
I think we need to be just a little careful that we don't bombard Puss with loads of tasks so we don't get confused with what has and what hasn't been done.

We can still try the trend micro scan see if it picks up anything, its a slow scan though and can be frustrating for people using it be warned.

Delete anything it finds

Whats worrying me is I have just read on Cnet that 28 new viruses, trojans, spyware, malware in the last few days have been noted, I would think even more now since that news was written

HijackThis HijackThis: A general homepage hijackers detector and remover. Initially based on the article Hijacked!, but expanded with a lot of other checks against hijacker tricks. It is continually updated to detect and remove new hijacks. It does not target specific programs/URLs, just the methods used by hijackers to force you onto their sites.
As a result, false positives are imminent, and unless you are sure what you're doing, you should always consult with knowledgable folks before deleting anything.
A rudimentary HijackThis log tutorial by me is available here.
The official HijackThis QuickStart for posting on the SpywareInfo forums is available here.

Compatible with: Windows 2000 and newer
Currently at version: 2.00 beta

-> Download from Merijn.org
-> Download from MajorGeeks
-> Download from TrendMicro
i click on top one and security alert comes on
