would that be "dorky", "geeky" or just "sad", BC? lol.

My uncle has binoculars for watching the birds in his garden, but then he has a big garden and it opens up into miles of fields. When we go over I sit in the conservatory and play with them. My uncle's posh!

Did you know there is a difference between a twitcher and a birdwatcher?

Birdwatchers usually study birds where they are, but twitchers travel all over the country to see a bird that maybe shouldn't be there...there is a kind of 'jungle telegraph' between them, one rumour of a possible rare sighting and they drop everything to go there.

Well everyone's cold that's why their blue... and I'm sure many of us have great ones. lol.

My best friend at uni did her research on birds, to do with the position of feeding in relation to proximity to trees/structures & shadows. Or something. All I know is she spent hours watching the damn things. Course, it didn't take into allowance the neighbours cats lol.

Thanks everyone. Don't know what my neighbours would make of me frightening their beloved cats lol.

Teresa... My son-in-law took me to Cley at New Year and I was amazed at the number of hides and people visiting. It was freezing cold and pouring with rain but the bird watchers/twitchers were out in force. It is quite a close knit community.

Sorry Hayley but still haven't guessed what you are so excited about.
