Hi Nicola,
There are two children with the name Jarvis, but mother's name Otty:
Madeline A Jarvis 1911 Oct-Nov-Dec Otty Erpingham Norfolk
Stella S Jarvis 1915 Oct-Nov-Dec Otty Erpingham Norfolk
I couldn't find a marriage between a Jarvis and a Otty, so maybe they were not married. If I where you I would order one of the above certs to find out their parents names,
Thanks
Vicky

Hello! Anyone able to check the marriage of one Edith Heald to George Horwell. Possible place would be Yorkshire. I am only sure of Edith's year of birth ie 1902 and date of death 24 June 1957. She had one son Kenneth Horwell and I gather a couple of step sons too.
Help me please? This lady is my great grandmother.
Thanks, Kat.

Hi John,
If you go onto the below website:
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
You can order the marriage certificate. If you put in the below Volume number and page number it will cost £7.
Volume: 1d Page: 1883
It will be harder to find children as mother's maiden name didn't appear on the record until 1912. It may be worth searching for people on genes reunited who have Martha or her husband in their tree to see if they have more info.
Also you could get somebody to look for baptisms for any children of Martha and husband in the area that she lived.
Alternatively you could wait until the 1912 census is available online, which won't be for a couple of years yet.
Hope this helps,
Vicky

Hi Kat,
I have looked for a marriage between 1920 - 1940 for a Edith Healds and a George Horwell with no success.
If George was married before with children, maybe Edith was as well. If she married again, itwould be under her marriage name and not her maiden name,
Sorry I couldn't help more,
Vicky

Hi Vicky, if you get a spare couple of minutes I am trying to locate my 3xgreat grandmother Ann Hardman. And any info you can give me for the 1841 census would be great. Ann was born in Bitterley, Shropshire in 1814. She married my 3X great grandfather John Watkins in 1849 in Ludlow Shropshire. I believe she may have had a son named James Hardman(b1840) before she married John Watkins. I am trying to establish if James was illigitimate or Ann was previously married. I hope this is enough info?
Many Thanks Avril
