I need help, have finally reached that brickwall, can anyone help me with Thomas German m Margaret Scholey @ Manchester Cathereral 27th February 1865.
They were lisited on marriage cert as residing at Eccles New Road, but can not find her birth , she was daughter of William Scholey, Printer, and her husbands father was Stephen German, Mason.

I have only just found this thread again. Yes I do know about Sarah Lee . She is one of my g.gmother's sisters. but I only know what is on the Census.

I know the names of all Luke Lee's children and two step children as he married his friend's widow. He was also a witness at their wedding.
I have found two other distant relatives descendants of Stephen Lee on G.R.
My grandfather Thomas Barker was Elizabeth Lee's son and he always said he had two half brothers David and Bart. Lee. No one in the family ever dared to question him on this but we guessed his mother had them before she married his father. I know that David Lee was born in November so Bart must ber either a twin or born so close together that one of them was brought up by her brother William. He was always referred to as Uncle Bart.
According to the 1861 Census Sarah was twenty two, married and the word baby was written in. At the bottom of the list is John K. Midding Lee, Grandson 2 mths.
Sarah was probably named after Luke's sister Sarah who married Ephraim Meads.
I can put you on to these other two Lee descendants if you like but I will have to look them up first.
