Greeting’s again……..
Ummm toughie ? ….
I think you had better ask Ethel’s son as to where in the pecking order this Lil Comes.... is she OLDER than Horace or younger ?
From my list of Female names :~
• Liz/Liza/Lizzie/Lizzy/Lillie/Lillibet/Lilly = Elizabeth
So……..Me thinks we could go with the following for the time being :~
Oct. Nov. Dec Qrt. 1904. Elizabeth Youles Chambers LEICESTER. Cert No. 7 a. 234. Did you spot the burials for John , Elizabeth Kisby , Esther & James ? Welford Road Plot No. :~ U. T. 730.

Hi Mike,
Could you check three baptisms on your discs if you have time? This is for my BiL's tree, which I'm doing for him.
He has a couple called John Charles Chambers and Elizabeth Kirby Youles who were living at 54 Junction Road, Leicester in 1901 with children Esther, Ethel, Ida and Thomas.
Ethel's son says there were also a brother and sister called Lil and Horace. I've found Horace, but I'm not sure about Lil.
The birth of a Lilian May Chambers was registered in Leicester in the first quarter of 1901. The census was taken on 31st March that year, so she should have been on it with John and Elizabeth, but she isn't.
However, there is a Lilian M Chambers aged 2 months on the 1901 census living with a Frederick and Mary Ann Chambers, so I assume this child is theirs.
I've also found the burial at Welford Road cemetery on 18/3/1901 of a Sarah Youles Chambers from Junction Road aged 5 months.
In view of the middle name and the address I think she must be the child of John and Elizabeth; she would have been born only about 6 months after Lilian, which seems to confirm that the Lilian I found isn't theirs.
I've also found the birth in 1904 of an Elizabeth Youles Chambers, who I assume is another child of John and Elizabeth's. I haven't found a death for her, and an Elizabeth Y Chambers was married in 1925, so I wonder if she was nicknamed Lil.
Could you see if you can find a baptism record to confirm who the parents of Lilian May, Sarah Youles and Elizabeth Youles Chambers are?
Thanks a lot, Mary

Hello Mike
Last October you kindly looked up information on the Hall family in Belton for me. I am still trying to get info on them but I noticed that you helped someone with relatives in Rutland.
If you can access the Rutland records could you please look up Mary Ann Sanby. She was born in Bridge Casterton, Rutland in 1824 and her father's name was Samuel. I got her father's name from her marriage cert when she married William Hall in London.
Any info on Mary Ann and her parents would be great.
Thank you Mike Caroline

Hi Mike we did survive the earthquake.......lol not far away from us where it all started.
I have four children born to Mary Thompson from Willoughby George 1815 Sophia 1819 Eliza 1825 and John 1826 so it says on the IGI no husband mentioned I thought that maybe she had four children out of wedlock but I noticed on the 1851 and the 1861 there is a Mary Thompson living with one of her daughters called Eliz who married George Goodman ...well I think this is her daughter it says that Mary is a widow anf she was from Willoughby so I have been putting 2 and 2 together to see if there is a marriage for her in Willoughby.......how far is Crosby from Willoughby? maybe this is where i come to stop lol

Hi Mike,
Thanks for you help yet again!
I too was there from about 1.00 (I had half day from work as the only times I get to go otherwise is Wednesdays when I finish work at 17.00 or Saturday morninhgs), but I didn't start looking at this side of my family until about 17.00 and by that time they said they were too short staffed to get the records out.
Thanks again and I'll check back soon!

Greetings Mike Yes, To the best of my knowledge that is the same family, I have Cert showing Louisa's birth in workhouse with Ann as mother no father shown. George Tomkins, my previous query with you was also a child of ANN, I am trying ascertain that this ANN is the same as in 1851 census above. Regards Jon O'Kent

Many thanks Jon O'Kent

Hi again Mike,
Would you be able to look up somebody's workhouse record for me please?
Joseph Wells was born in Husbands Bosworth in 1811. In 1891 he is still living in Husbands Bosworth and by 1901 he is in the Market Harborough Union Workhouse. He died later in 1901.
I did go to the records office on Wednesday, but they were too short staffed to get the records for me to see and I can't go again for another few weeks.
Thanks if you can help,
Vicky X
