maybe it was a marriage then, and not dob for the mum as I first thought - i would imagine then that they had lots of earlier children>? And she would be one of the youngest? They would have been married almost 20 years before she was born! |

Scottish birth certs do give dates of marriage for the parents - sometimes the dates are wrong - so that marriage could be the right one. |

My great great grandad Harry Pudner (Henry?) married Mary Ann Solomon in JunQ 1890. She is down on the census as being born in Scotland in 1874. On the marriage certificate her father is down as John Solomon. |
