non family names on census documents??who are they

hi was just wandering if anyone out there knew about the census reports i have one from 1891 and all the family are on it, then at bottom there is 2 girls names one age 19yrs and one age22 years they have same surname as one another so i presume they are sisters but who could they be to family anyone any ideas, would be appreciated..thanks..joanne... |

thanks tich, its strange to think my family had such people especially when most died of tb ive often visualised poverty when ive thought right back..but hey anythings possible i guess!! thanks again for your help its appreciated, kind regards .. |

if you look at the actual image if often tells you if they are relations or servants etc |

its likely they were lodgers or boarders and possibly mean the family squeezed into a smaller number of room, in order to generate income, especially if they were not so well to do. |

hi reggie, whitenancy thanks for you advice - ive not got actual image a very kind soul on GR found it and just typed up names, area and ages so have not actually seen proper document, is there an easy way of doing this?? |

thanks minnie i could imagine that more to be true, it was the west derby area of liverpool im not sure what the area was like at time but im sure i have read somewhere there was a lot of death by comsumption/tb in liverpool back then, thanks for your time, |

Joane, have you not got ancestry? If not take the 3 day free trial - no card details needed and then you can check all the census info yourself and look at the images of the documents. Just enter the following address in your address panel: |

heather - i have it and have tried to look at census but a red page comes up with a padlock on saying basically i need to pay to view?? unless im doing something wrong? |
