I'm not going to totally rule out the marriage you showed us earlier but I have my doubts. |

So any ideas Claire? Back to my original question, do I apply for a UK birth certificate or can I get the info now? |

No there is rarely a maiden name on a christening record unless it Methodist |
|||
|
Creamcheese | Report | 2 Nov 2007 00:26 |
So no maiden name there then! |

I've found this for their first born in USA. Is there anyway I can see any of these immediately or do I have to pay and wait? DID I SAY I WAS NEW TO ALL THIS!!!!FamilySearch® International Genealogical Index™ v5.0 |

This looks like Clara, I picked her as she has a more unusual name |

Ah right, didnt you say they were back in Sheffield in 81? |

Creamcheese | Report | 2 Nov 2007 00:09 |
Heather - no they were in USA in 1881 and appear on USA census then. How can I send you their info? Do you want to give me your email? |
|||

Heather | Report | 2 Nov 2007 00:06 |
Creamcheese, if you look at the image of the census it actually says Lincolnshire, Retford on the 91. I still cant see them in 1881 though ? Can you put it on here for us. Im beginning to think this Annie is a second wife possibly - see the 5 year gap between the kids? Of course they may have lost a couple of kids in that period but something isnt quite right. |

Thanks Claire and Heather (by the way, I didn't mean she'd had her children by 1880, that was when she went to USA) This is def the right person. But 1891 is saying she was born in Pulford and 1901 says Retford. All I need now is her maiden name. I'll go and search Pulford area now. |
